Not sure what they mean by commercial insurance? We have travel to and from place of business, which sounds as if it should be adequate for these purposes. I suppose more might be necessary if she ever transports their shopping in her car? Obviously if she was ever transporting her clients, but I wouldn't expect that to happen.Signature removed for peace of mind0

So travel to and from place of work is a supplement to ask for? The agency doesn't allow taking clients out or doing shopping for them so thats not an issue0

She would need business use class 1 on her existing policy. She doesn't need a commercail policy.

Thanks confused only has one company for vans and the supermarket doesn't have the option on vans as it has for cars in that it searches various companies together you have to individually search each van insurance company.0

Are you using the van for work or just private use as most van insurers assume its for work and the premiunms are high. We had a van which we used for the allotment my husbands quotes for private use were high so I phoned and said I was the main driver. (we go to the allotment together so it was just as easy for me to drive) I got a lower price as the man on the phone said they always assumed a man in a van would use it for work ( even when he claims he isn't) This must be sexist but it was true my premium was nearly half my husbands so if you are female and you phone them it could help keep the price down0

http://www.evaninsurance.co.uk - brought to you by the same people who do ecarinsurance and ebikeinsurance. You can do annual or monthly pay-as-you-go. Full breakdown and legal cover included plus an option to extend the breakdown cover to Europe - very useful for stocking up in Calais!
