After spending many hours looking in to this I have found a reasonable quote for tpf and theft with a company called Quote a van and also one withAllen and Allen (I think they are part of the same group). Anyone out there had any dealings with them? Thank you SO much!!
  • I went through Confused.com this morning and found out that I can cut my contents insurance in half :) Spurred on, I decided to look into motor insurance but none of the comparison sites come up with LDV as an option and won't recognise the registration number :( I'm assuming it's because it's usually more of a commercial vehicle whereas mine's a minibus for transporting my tribe :D

Are there any van insurance comparison sites around?

    Hi,
Just done this for hubby, try 'more th>n' through quidco, was really reasonable and £75 tracked through quidco straight away.
  • ive insured my van today but my new licence counterpart has been thrown away by accident and the dvla want me to send them some forms before they send me another and itll be 8 weeks before my new licence comes through. will my insurance need to see my counterpart licence. i have no convictions. will they be able to cancel my policy if i dont send it to them. is there a time limit they allow before they cancel it. my brother said not to worry, that they will hound you for your licence but no matter how long they have to wait they cant cancel your policy even if they have to wait 6months they still wont cancel it!!! is he right??

    please help
  • if you your self dont know the answers could you send me someones info or a link that could help

Don't quote me on this, but I am sure that I've heard that if you give your insurer permission (and perhaps without permission too), they can contact the DVLA to verify your driving history.

However, in the mean time, be upfront with the Insurer and keep them informed with what's going on. Do not ignore them.
    Reassuringly expensive
  • yes but can they cancel my insurance if i dont send them my counterpart?
