Squishy and CSH and me
Massive labour vibes to us all. I really can't believe that I'm still here. And evidently neither can anyone else.
I had a text last night, which didn't appear to want an answer as it was only giving me info on someone elses (who I've never even heard of) baby arriving 13 days late (oh yeah, thats a helpful text to send - thanks). An hour later there is a message on my facebook saying that they've not had an answer so I must be in hospital. Cue lots more texts asking if I've had her yet.
'No I bl00dy haven't'. I just have a life and don't feel the need to answer every single text - especially if it is not a question.
I need this baby out now, before everyone drives me completely insane!!!!!
Sorry, rant over. As you were.

Harley, 2 people felt the need to tell me about babies born yesterday!! People I don't know and no interest in and they were both early, obviously.
On the up side, a girl in DD's class at schools mum had a healthy wee girl yesterday after having a full term stillbirth 18mths ago so I was pleased to hear about that one x
Its the texts that start with 'anything yet?' People, you will know when anything happens, arrrrrgggggggg!!!!!!!0 -
Rant Alert
MIL came over on Due Date and I heard her say to OH, 'Nana said to give Charlotte Castor Oil'
I'm shouting from the kitchen 'I'm due today, I'm not even late yet and its not the bl00dy 1950's'
Rant over lol0 -
At least you's are further down the line my mum felt the need to tell me that an old friends wife just had twins on Thursday night, honestly what is it with my family and twins thats all i hear just now. Best bit was when i asked was it girls/ boys or one of each she didn't know never thought to ask
Elastigirl could the DAY be the day clinic in the hospital, mine has one and i seen them filling out the appointment for someone and they put day in the where box for her so perhaps it's the same where you are! HTH[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

I don't rremember seeing or getting a letter. It is on my mat notes in the appiontment section but under the where bit it just says Day. That doesn't mean a thing to me if it was in the clinic it would say ant clinic. I have rang today but of course there isn't anyone in at the weekend.
When i've had mine they have been in the day assessment unit on the antenatal ward, if you ask at the hospital reception they normally point you in the right direction.
I just wanted to ask are you having it at 28 or 16 weeks?
When i had ds i was tested at 28 weeks but last time i was pregnant the midwife said something about them testing at both times as it picks up some people who have it earlier. I suppose the midwife will explain at the booking in again, still have not heard from the midwife team when that is going to be.0 -
Fantastic news on yesterdays healthy little girl. They must have been sooo relieved.
I had one of those 'anything yet' texts 3 weeks ago. I replied with 'yes, she was born 3 days ago, I just decided not to tell anyone. Obviously closely followed by 'only joking but been dying to say that since I've been getting so many texts asking the same thing.'. They still didn't take the hint.
I'm so tempted to just ignore them all from now on. Do they not realise how annoying it is? My two best mates had babies last november and not once did I ring to find out if there was any news... I knew that when there was something to tell me they would let me know.
Maybe it would be easier if there was someone else here to take some of the flak but I'm getting it all.
However, I have just spent the last hour cheering myself up with the lovely Tony in the latest episode of NCIS. And am seriously considering a Daniel Craig fest later. If only I could be bothered to go and get some popcorn I could be really indulgent.
Ooooh, and just to stroke my ego even more, nice sort of acquaintence is still text flirting. He he, if only he could see the size of me

Hi Ladies!
I'm still lurking and for the first time in forever I'm actually up to date with this thread! It moves so quick I just can't keep up!
Congrats to the newbies and mega labour vibes to squishy, harley and csh. I have to admit I was one of those "any news yet?" when my bf was pregnant last year and now I feel horribly guilty, I didn't realise at the time it was so annoying
I'm now 21+4 and everything seems to be going well. We had our 20 week scan the week before last which was a-mazing. Couldn't believe how much detail they went into! We had the same sonographer as our other scans and she remembered our history so I think she made an extra effort and as before we got loads of picsWe found out we're having a daughter and OH burst into tears, closely followed by me, it was so fabulously emotional :j
I've been feeling her moving for the last couple of weeks (although initially I thought it was wind) mainly after I've had something to eat but we've yet to feel movement from the outside. OH can't wait to feel her moving so hopefully it'll be soon.
Finally I look pregnant rather than just fat and people are feeling brave enough to comment without fear of getting it wrong. No bump feelers yet apart from my Dad but I'll let him off - he's excited
To add to the knicker debate I've had to pack away all my pre-pg underwear as it no longer fits. I've resorted to horrible granny pants 2 sizes larger than normal that pretty much come up under my bust  They look horrific but on the upside hold my bump nice and neatly under my clothes and give me a nicer silouette and make me feel secure should my top roll up/trousers roll down. Coupled with my non underwired bra I'm feeling less than glamourous
Oh and I finally told work at 20 weeks. Long story but I'm hoping all will be OK
.
Sorry for the long post, I promise I'll try and keep up and post a bit more often
I'm off to see my friends twins today, hope you all have fabulous weekends x0 -
