    (((Hugs))) Jillie

They were talking about painful boobs on parent thread earlier in the week. Krystaltips might be your best bet. They were saying that cold cabbage leaves really helped (tucked in your bra), expressing a really tiny bit to relieve the pressure, and failing that the doc can prescribe something. Most seemed to think it would only last a day or two though. Try searching the thread for cabbage (can't be a word they use that often surely).

Glad Kian is doing so well, sorry its not so easy for you and DH. Hopefully it will get easier after the funeral and time really does heal, it just won't feel like it yet.

Lovely to hear from you, and hope you find time to join parent thread when things settle down a bit. Love to see some pics of Kian when you can.

    Love and hugs

Still here  Could have written Harleys post myself! All day yesterday was convinced it was the day, all sorts of pain and backache, was really sore when I went to bed and woke up this morning fine!!

OH was moping about looking sorry for himself yesterday, asked him what was wrong and he said, 'i'm bored, I want to change a nappy or something', awww! Think the waiting is getting to him.
I told him if he was that bored he could wallpaper the babys room, so he did! Hooray!!

Beenie - everything I read tells me something different. Some say 3rd tri begins at 27wks, some say 28! I just figure that it's 13 wks until my due date & that's 1/3 of the time :-p. I'm the impatient sort, so moving into 3rd tri doesn't scare me :D

lol @ csh...we lived in furnished flat, so it's !!!!!! b/c that's what the landlord left us!

32B via my work I have online access to all the medical and midwifery journals and am very happy to look up research supporting VBAC for you if you would like me to. I actually really enjoy it!

    A couple of questions:

What was the reason for your first birth being a c/s? How many weeks were you? According to my record i was 36 weeks. reason stated(not what i was told though)CS2 Maternal or fetal compromise which is not life threatening.

What happened with your second labour, normal vaginal delivery you've said:). How many weeks?Records say 40 weeks but i was 39+3 Were forceps/ventouse required?Nothing needed Did you have any perineal tears? Yes but no stitches Was the apgar all normal?Yes Any foetal distress? No And particularly, did anyone at any stage show any concern about possible uterine rupture?Nothing was ever discussed even before labor This is where the wall of the uterus perforates along the old C/S scar.
Thanks for helping weezle. When i had DD i was only 17 and most of the discussions where done around me and not too me. When i was in for my 8mth check they said the LO's heartbeat was stopping for no apparent reason and if i did not have her straight away she would die. But that now contradicts the info on my maternity notes.

When i was in for DS i was asked do you want a natural birth or an elective c/s, i was shocked as i had heard so many ppl say "once a c/s always a c/s" so i agreed to the natural birth. My labor was monitored normally and the closest i came to them helping me was when MW was going to break my waters and just as she put her had under the sheets woosh they went :rotfl:
I had one shot of a pain killer as they waited for a c/s slot just in case i needed it at 8 am then i only had G&A and had him just after 3.

I was never told their was a chance of a rupture and the only time the discussion of another c/s came up was when i was in labor and i was not in a position to wait on a consultant doing his rounds. When i was in for my appointment the other week i heard the consultant in the hall talking to the MW saying "what you mean she was actually allowed a N/B she was a lucky girl" when he came in to talk to me he asked if i fought for the N/B i said no and he just starred at me then the MW and said i was lucky to have not ruptured and that i will need to be monitored very closely at the end as i was now high risk to a rupture and the original team that dealt with me for DS should never have considered me for a N/B.

I tried to have a quick look at my notes to see if their was anything that would make him think that but i couldn't see anything and he had to leave saying he would discuss it in more detail next time but i was having a c/s as the risk was too high.

Sorry i know i have went on a bit but i have been through both types of birth's and i would rather have a N/B. How can i be more likely to a rupture this time than last! surely it would be the other way round?

    Thanks

  • For those that had the GTT did you get a letter about the appiontment? I have just realised that i have i mine on monday and i haven't a clue where to go  I don't rremember seeing or getting a letter. It is on my mat notes in the appiontment section but under the where bit it just says Day. That doesn't mean a thing to me if it was in the clinic it would say ant clinic. I have rang today but of course there isn't anyone in at the weekend.
