Congrats Mrs T. My only suggestion is to keep an eye on this thread. The lovely ladies on here tend to post every good deal they find out about.

And sign up for every club going i.e. Tesco baby, boots parenting, SMA, Actimel, Pampers, Huggies, you get the idea. You get loads of freebies and vouchers sent to you.

Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy

jha weezl and ? ( cant remember who else is expecting another child close to 1st )

, i had my 3 at 3 under 3 when the youngest was born , i was shocked when i fell pregnant on the pill so quick , ny elder 2 were both due on the same day dif yrs ofc 28/03/95 + 96 , my 1 st was 2 days early and 2 nd 7 days late , then 15 months between my 2nd and 3rd, people just said , i was mad , but when i was 15 i was told i would never have children , so it was more of a shock than anything ,
i have to say it was hard work for the first few years as each one was at different stages, when my youngest was born my eldest was at playschool, people were so amazed how i was able to get 3 children up , feed , dressed and myself al those things too and beable to get to playschool by 9am 3 times aweek, but if you put your mind at it its easy , and you get into a routine very easily. , now they are 12 yr , 13 yr , 14 yr , all at high school , all get on great , all help me so much , its lovely, they always had someone there to play with, i wouldn't change it for the world, they are also looking forward to new arrival. ( iam an only child so having more than 1 was always on my mind)

Mrs_tradition - congrats and welcome to the thread, this is the place if your after frugal, the girls have some fab tips.

On the Vit front I decided to carry on tacking mine all thru PG as every little helps IMO. Am taking the pregnacare plus and altho a bit more ££ have been stocking up when it goes on 3 for 2.

Just as well I do take them tho as even with those my iron is still 10.5, but then think thats my Beta Thalassemia doing that. I love broccoli too!

As for knickers I invested in some short style/under bump ones from mothercare after my discount they weren't too expensive and they are a similar style to what I would choose non pg (not ugly either). They are so comfy and generous so should last. Hate the thought of things over my bump so thats why I went for under bump in jeans too.

Jenny - what a bummer about Aquanatal last night! Ended up going to pizza express with OH tho lol.

ML - Elsa is beautiful, well done xx

Well went to doc today she thinks the headaches/miagraines are lack of sleep and light sensitivity related. She offered to sign me off for 2 weeks but as am off next week anyhoo I said not needed, but she left the offer open and said if I need it to phone and she'll do the note. Also prescribed me lots of paracetamol so saved some money there :D

  • Evening ladies hope everyone is well.

I am after some advice/help from anyone who is better than me at finding information. When i was at the hospital the consultant made it pretty clear he wanted me to have a c/s despite the natural birth with son after DD. I really don't want to have a c/s again. I have been over everything in my head and i just cant see why i should need one, surely i have proven i can handle a natural birth. The thought of the stitches again not to mention the inconvenience of it, problems with bf last time no driving will be a nightmare for DS school etc. Has anyone found information that could back me up, i just know i will crumble and give in if i go in without facts etc to back me up.

If i can get some info to put to the MW in a couple of weeks to see her reaction then it will help me to tackle the consultant at the hospital.

    TIA for any help

32B via my work I have online access to all the medical and midwifery journals and am very happy to look up research supporting VBAC for you if you would like me to. I actually really enjoy it!

    A couple of questions:

What was the reason for your first birth being a c/s? How many weeks were you?

What happened with your second labour, normal vaginal delivery you've said:). How many weeks? Were forceps/ventouse required? Did you have any perineal tears? Was the apgar all normal? Any foetal distress? And particularly, did anyone at any stage show any concern about possible uterine rupture? This is where the wall of the uterus perforates along the old C/S scar.

Sorry to ask all these questions and I'm sure you've answered them elsewhere and I haven't kept up poperly :)

Love weezl the research enjoying geek :D xxx

    morning all!

omg... poor mummy has no time to visit here plus a husband who is dealing with all that has happened by spending his time on the computer. he's also got a really bad cold sore so doesnt want to come too close to Kian, incase he catched the cold sore virus.

thanks everyone for your messages and posts. we are still in shock about my SIL. the funeral is on monday, so i am going hoping that it will somehow make things a bit easier afterwards. DH- hasnt really sunk in at all. So, I have told him to help what he can with Kian and grieve for his sister. my mum is still here and i am talking with her about everything and my cmw is an absolute gem and a fabulous listener.

so Kian, well he;s doing really well. up to 90ml feeds. and when i put him down for the night (usually bout 12am) he wakes bout 4 and then sleeps till bout 7/8 and we get up then.

mummy is not doing so well. have had to change my BP meds and now taking Lisinopril which means i cant breastfeed/express. i start the neds today but i expressed enough yesterday for 1 more feed today. only prob now is my boobs are so full of milk they are agony. anyone got any tips on how to ease the pain??

    Morning all.

Well, I really thought she was coming last night - wishful thinking though, sadly. I had a real splitting type pain in my pubic bone and it felt like she was using the sides of my tummy to push herself out with, like climbing. Was quite uncomfortable and seemed to be getting worse. I went to bed thinking that I'd at least try to rest for a bit and it was easier lying down than sat up straight. The next thing I knew it was 7.30am.

Everything I've read says 'you just know' when you're in labour. Well, that's not very helpful really is it? There were no other symptoms though, no more show, no waters, nothing.

Hope they induce on Tuesday, at least then I'll know its the real thing.

    How is everyone else today?
