Thank you princess platy, that's really interesting.

Ladies who've had them do you think they are worth it?

Also does it give you space with the sonographer to ask them to look in detail at any bits that you've been troubled about.

    TIA for any thoughts/advice :)

    Hiya JHA,

    How you been feeling? :)

Have you been offered any 4d scans? I'm guessing we have to go to UHW rather than Llandough?

    Ladies I have another question:

    knickers for pregnancy...
    a) wearing your normal ones slung under bump
b)buying normal knickers a couple of sizes up to give bump a bit of cover
    c) full on buying of scary looking suspension garments from mothercare and wearing with pride
    d) other, please specify?

    Vote now!

    xxx

EA - i have read in a leaflet (a boots one i think) that iron deficiency can cause heart palps. I have a heart prob very similar to yours only a bit milder i think and i have found maintaining my iron levels helpful in preventing irregular racing heart beat now i cant take aspirin. Might be something to check with your doc or midwife.

Hi Weezl - how are you. I am ok thanks - 4d scans - i have struggled to get a sucessful normal scan. I am not aware that 4d scans are offered on nhs. Its Spire hosp (private) or babybond. If you hear any different please let me know. knickers answer - b

  • Mine was booked for next week have had to temporarily postpone it now coz of this stupid swine flu though :(

This is the place i am going to though http://www.essexultrasound.co.uk/
going for their gold package thought if im going to do it i may aswell do it properly :rotfl::rotfl:
It says up to 45mins long so im guessing you would have plenty of time for the sonographer to check things you were worried about

A friend of mine had one down there when she was pregnant with her daughter and apparently her daughter was a right pain and they couldnt see right apparently they kept sending her off for walks and giving her sugary foods and drinks it took 4 attempts but they kept at it :)

Hi Weezl - how are you.
good thanks. At least now that the telling of the parents is over! :)

Have you found any PG local pals? Do you do NCT or anything like that?

We just went to the free day at Llandough, but wasn't really a meeting place for friendships :( I've found mum and baby events to be the nicest way :)

princess platy- wow it looks amazing! A fab way to get to know your baby:)

edit- Oh I've remembered- they do do them at Llandough! My friend had one! It's just a switch they do on the normal machine....
