Hiya peeps, Im new to this board. I found out yesterday Im pregnant with our 1st child. Ive done 3 tests in total and all came up positive - so I guess its fairly definate!! Ive not been to the doctors yet as Im not sure who I should see. Im going to try and see them Monday if I can get in!! Will they do a test to confirm or just take my word for it - Im a bit paranoid that Ive got it wrong even though I know what I saw (if that makes sense).
Good to see Mrs_Tradition posting on here as we were both 'got at' in another threadOpinions are like ar*eholes - everybody has one!!!!0 -
Congratulations Mrs_Tradition:j and labour vibes to those in need!
Just to update you all on my bleeding from the other day. Very light bleeding on Thursday so I left message for midwife but never got a call back. By last night it had gotten a little heavier so I found out about our local Early Pregnancy Unit and made an appointment for this morning. Bleeding had stopped by this morning but went in anyway.
Had a vaginal scan, which showed everything to be healthy and normal. So no reason for the bleeding and hopefully it won't start up again. We even got a picture of the tiny grain of rice with little heartbeat. OH was doing his best not to blub so God only knows what he'll be like when we can actually see it properly!

Congratulations Yorkygal!:j
I went to the doctor. Was in there for a total of 30 secs (long enough to give period dates) and was then told to fill out a form for the midwife!

I rang my docs to ask what i should do, and they said make an appt with doc and take a sample in. But not all docs test you some just take your word for it, so best to ring yours and ask what they do! So i saw doctor who checked my BP and had a feel of tum but couldn't feel anything. Then they gave me a form to hand in which would be passed onto midwives who got in touch a few weeks later with a booking in appt.0 -
I'm the same as Iheartfreebies, my pre pregnancy knickers got too tight way too quickly
so I bought some Emma Jane maternity huge knickers with abit of support in them to make me feel abit more confident and supported. Some days, when my spd is particulary bad I also wear a bump band for extra support.
Huge hugs for Jillie,Im so sorry about your SIL xxxx
Theres been a few babies been born round here in the last few weeks..2 of my friends, both went overdue btw, they weighed 9lb 1 and 9lb 13  I hope to god I don't follow the trend and end up with a 10lber!
I spoke to my dad last night too and he told me that my cousin and his wife have lost a baby. I didn't even know they were having another,(they don't live near me) but apparantly she was 7 months on and a scan had revealed the baby had heart problems. Anyway, they made the decision to terminate the pregnancy and she had to deliver the baby. They were having a little funeral yesterday. So sad, can't imagine what they are going through.
Just come back from town with more RLT and a gym ball-which hubbys pumping up for me as I type. Had a gorgeous dinner from the bakers of an egg mayo and salad baguette followed by a caramel custard donut. mmmmmmmmm. Best let it all settle before I get bouncing on my new ball thou!love my little man he is amazing :j0 -
Congratulations to new members :T and more labour vibes to Harley, Squishy and Csh!! xxxlove my little man he is amazing :j0

I see what you mean, I went and read it. Don't worry, you are more than welcome here, we'll look after you.
One of the reasons I never joined the TTC thread was that I was scared if I was lucky enough to get a BFP in the 1st month of posting people would have a bad reaction even tho we had been trying for months before that.
Anyway welcome to both yourself and Mrs T:beer:0 -
Helen, thats really upsetting eh? I'm not sure I could've made a decision like that at 7 mths gone.
My sincerest sympathies x0 -

My doctor was really nice! She clapped her hands and did a wee foot shuffle dance!!! I miscarried a few mths before and have endo so it was a long journey.
She then told me to book in with the midwife at 8 wks0
