PP - hope all OK now. But if not, I see you are a bit more than a month behind me - when I had my 32 week scan, my small little boy was 3lbs and I was reassured that whilst small, that's not small in the scheme of small babies. Keeping fingers crossed for you, whatever happens. You've had such a stressful few weeks, poor you.
Fidget - hope everything is underway now, nearly nearly there! Lucky you!
Helen - hope today is better for you
Thanks all the hospital bag input - as I only have 2 pairs of maternity trousers, my clothes will have to go in last but have added some extra socks in, I do get cold feet!
Beenie - better car luck this time round!0 -
Kindof I really like the look of the second pram - looks lovely, but I won't try and give any practical advice, because I don't know anything!!
Oh and to boot, we thought we'd picked a name, Grayson, he mentioned this to his family, we got told it was chavvy then got told it was too posh, generally they don't like it. Mightily !!!!ed off with this too, as they do this with every name, and I specifically told OH to just keep it to himself, but he couldn't and is now telling me he's going off it. He thinks it's ridiculous to keep names to ourselves as when the baby arrives people will react to his name so what difference does it make if we tell them now. I used SIL baby as an example, I wouldn't give my daughter her daughters name, but I've never said this to her, and really couldn't care less what she chooses to name her children.
ThanksI think I am going for the first one lol
That is why I REFUSE to tell anyone my names! aprat from you guys lol
I like Grayson by the way

redmel - the soft carry cot is only for the XLR and doesnt fit either the techno or twin techno, sorry. It doesnt even fit the pre 2009 model XLR!
Got my hopes up a little bit with the first post....then read the second oneThanks...I did actually wonder if it would work.
If anyone spots anything like the Maclaren double, which can turn into a pram style...or even if the seat could be turned around to face me...could you please let me know:DNow I've said all that - does anyone think Gray/Grayson is chavvy?I actually prefer Gray but it doesn't fit with the middle name...
I have never heard of the name before but I do actually like it...I must admit I prefer Grayson over Gray though:o I also think it really does matter about letting people know the names before, unless you are thick skinned (like me) and can just tell people you couldn't care less about what they think...then you should really keep it to yourselves! Once the baby is born and is called a certain name, the name and the baby become one, so people don't tend to pick flaws in the name as they would almost be criticising the baby/child/person......
All three of my kids have fairly non-traditional names and with each one all our parents pulled faces....but now they are the kids names no-one thinks anything of them, because they love the kids;)

Labour was quite quick, but got a bit dramatic, should try and do birth story quickly. Nearly had to have c-section as cord round her neck and contractions cut off her oxygen supply everytime. Had epidural but had to lie on left side so it didn't work evenly, generally bit of a mare, but she came out the correct way eventually.
Good luck to all the ladies needing it - labour vibes!
congrats Lizziebell - look forward to seeing some pics:beer:Oh and to boot, we thought we'd picked a name, Grayson, he mentioned this to his family, we got told it was chavvy then got told it was too posh, generally they don't like it. Seriously need to get out of my mood now I've let it all out :rotfl: Have been in a strop since yesterday, hence hardly any posting yesterday, was trying to use my frustration constructively and threw myself into doing some work!
PP - sticky vibes to you.
Labour vibes to fidget, GISI, Helen and anyone else who wants them. Just realised I am next with a due date (sunday:eek:) although for some reason I think Jr will come on the 4th?? really not sure why.Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)
Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early)0 -
We are not telling anyone our names - although I did mention some that we were thinking of to my sister (shush don't tell DH) but as we have nothing set in stone and may still change to something completely different it is not too bad. Just a relief that she doesn't have any of the same names as us. Otherwise that would be really difficult to deal with.Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)
