  • Just to jump in and update list. Lexie was born on Sat, very unlike her mother as was early by 3 days.

Labour was quite quick, but got a bit dramatic, should try and do birth story quickly. Nearly had to have c-section as cord round her neck and contractions cut off her oxygen supply everytime. Had epidural but had to lie on left side so it didn't work evenly, generally bit of a mare, but she came out the correct way eventually.

Good luck to all the ladies needing it - labour vibes!

Yippee! Congratulations Lizzie. Beautiful names for your little girl. Can't wait to see apic when you get the chance.

Not caught up yet, just seen the last few posts..CONGRATULATIONS Lizziebell!! :T

Suppose that means I'm 2nd on the list now!! I think Fidget goes in for induction today?? So..it's only fair I let her go 1st, then it's my turn..ARE YOU LISTENING BABY??? WEEKEND PLEASE!!! I've got a feeling I'll get passed by by everyone though, 1 day over due now. Hmmppffffff.

You'll be next Helen- I'm sure of it! I think my premonitions of mine being an October baby are getting less and less likely!

Karen- your EDD is definitely creeping up. 4th is my EDD so maybe we'll be birth date buddies!

I have a really busy day today so maybe that will kick things off! Not really had any signs yet beyond some twinges.

PP - hope everything is ok for you. Hopefully it's just your bodies reaction to the stress you've been under and everything will calm down for you soon. Big hugs and lots of stay put vibes heading your way.

Som - please could I ask you some pram questions too? I like the look of the graco prams as they seem very reasonably priced and look very simple and easy to use! I just wondered if it's worth paying the extra £50 to get the mosaic rather than the mirage? And would the car seat bit be suitable for the baby to nap in during the day? I was going to get a moses basket but after hearing how quickly Jack grew out of his I think I'll get a crib instead and find another option for through the day.

Re names I agree that you should definitely keep them to yourself if you don't want people to criticise. For some reason, even the nicest people seem to think they have a right to tell you what they honestly think of a name you have picked. (I don't know why as I would never do this!!) Yet once the baby is here and named only someone very rude (your inlaws Gymfiend? lol) will tell you what they honestly think. Most will just smile and say it's lovely :)

What about Graeme, Gymfiend if your OH is going off Grayson? It can still be abbrieviated to Gray. I really like it but can't use it as it's my BIL's name. I;'m still set on Thomas for a boy but struggling with girls names. I think I'll have to wait until my next scan and find out the flavour :)

  • Hi everyone,

Congrats Lizziebell - looking forward to seeing photos.
Fidget - hope everything's going as planned and you'll be a mum very soon.
PP - sending stay-put vibes to you.
Helen - sending labour vibes to you and anyone else who needs 'em.
Beenie - congrats on the car and I'm pleased your son's looking a bit better.

Still not gotten over this bug yet. Felt that I really ought to go into work anyway (I'm off on leave Tues - Fri next week), so went it and promptly threw up twice in the space of 25 minutes and ended up all shakey and rubbish, so went home again. I can't really separate this bug from morning sickness. I have been suffering from slight MS - being sick once a day or less, but suddenly I seem to be being more sick, more often and I don't know whether I would be if I didn't have a bug. Grr - just feel really grotty and fed up
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)
  • I don't usually eat things like MacDs, but since I've been pregnant I think I've had it about six times, which is probably more than in the last 3 years put together. I was thinking the other night in bed if I want another one I'd better squeeze it in before baby comes, because then my excuse will be lost!

PP - sending you stay put vibes instead. Hopefully if you just drink lots of water and stay in bed they will go away. What do the hospital say?

i managed to catch princess and pm her my mobile number this morning - i think she was considering making her way to hosp. So i am sending more <<<<baby stay put vibes>>>>

Hope induction is going well fidget and labour vibes to all those that need them.

I have been having pains since about 6pm last night every min or so - i am presuming it is either a new type of stretching pain or braxton hics so i am a bit quiet at the mo:o for once:p

Heya gang well I should be at work but as I had a crappy night due to afformentioned wheezing and then the dog is not a happy bunny, keeps trying to lick his wound and crying poor thing. Decided sod it and took the day off, not sure work were impressed but honestly its tough!

PP - Stay put vibes for you and bump xx

32b - OMG how selfish of your OH, mine would never dream of doing something like that, I'd be fuming!

Gymfiend - think both Grayson and Gray are nice tho I prefer the shorter, and there niether chavvy or posh just different.

Redmel - as far as I know there aren't any stroller type doubles that convert, but have you looked at First Wheels, they do some nice flexi systems, the only down side to them is there big and dont fold down too small.

Nikkit - oooh nice sainsburys sale link, I know what I'm doing for the next few hours hehe.

mgeb - think it was you who asked about returns, if its an online only pushchair you order from mothercare, as long as its not been used and you have just loooked at it then you can return it.

jha - awww, thanks for checking up on PP for us. Hope she's gone to hosp if only just to have everything checked out!

GISI, my DH loves McDs so we do eat it sometimes but it's usually his craving not mine. This 1st time in ages I've genuinely wanted a huge burger meal! (I do crave their breakfasts often, but that's a separate issue for me LOL)

gill_81 - I know you directed your question at som, so sorry to butt in here. I had a Graco travel system with my first and it was fantastic, it lasted through ds1 and ds2, I don't know about the mirage or mosaic so not sure which is better, but Graco stuff is always excellent value for money.
Re the moses basket, ds1 only used his for about a week, ds2 for about 4wks and I therefore didn't bother getting one with ds3.....I got this instead

It is fantastic and for the last month or so, I have been using it as a playpen.

ds3 split his time between sleeping in the bassinet section of the travel cot and this swing..

Som - Yep keep going back to the firstwheels...but it is quite big, and the other thing is you have to take both seats of to be able to fold it to put in the car!! The other one I keep looking at is phil & teds, but not too sure on that, although I like the fact it can be used as a single, but then again I have two singles anyway....oh I am soo confused....
