Taija is doing so well,,sleeping fine bf fine,,,couldnt ask for more,,,
hope everyone is good,,xx0 -
Thanks lil miss. Hoping she won't be long now. Woken up with nasty cold still so probably best if she stays put for a bit longer.
Glad to hear Taija is doing well, any more piccys for us to admire?
Seeing the consultant after lunch so hopefully he'll be able to give me some idea of how long they will leave me. Not sure if they will encourage her out if I feel so grotty, assuming I'll need all my strength for pushing not sneezing!!
Beenie, I've been given lots of clothes from people. They were given as gifts and probably they wanted the room for their kids new clothes so I have just given presents to say thank you. Wine and chocs for mum and dad and toy for the kids. And a nice hand made thank you card. Since it is family they are probably even less likely to expect anything in return, especially knowing your circumstances.

Morning all,
happy due date harley! :j Hope all goes well with the consultant today. I've got the midwife tomorrow, where we will apparantly discuss a sweep for next week if nothing happens to me in the meantime.
Woke up today and looked in the mirror (which I try to avoid if possible)and decided that I could now audition to star in some real z-list movie called 'attack of the stretchmarks' if anyone ever made one
I don't know where they have appeared from: I swear I was okay just a week or so ago! Oh well, hopefully they'll fade out as well as the others I have had for years from putting on weight.
Hope we're all doing well and have a good day xx0 -
Happy Due Date Harley and Squishy! Hope consultants goes well today, and the midwife for you tomorrow Squishy. I have MW tomorrow but don't fancy a sweep, so hoping she won't offer :-(
Looks like at least 1 of you 2, if not both, might break the trend of early September babies!
We 3 might still be here in October after all x0 -
Morning,
Happy due date Harley & SquishyLots of labour vibes for you both.
Lil miss I'm glad to hear Taija is doing perfectly
Not sure if I updated after the midwife yesterday? Everything went fine, listened to heartbeat, which was 150bpm. Since then I'm sure I can feel movement, nothing distinct but like a rolling feeling. I thought I could feel it before but wasn't sure where baby was so assumed I was just making it up!! Now I've only gotta go back to hospital at 20 weeks for scan and consultant then mw at 25 weeks, then gestational diabetes testing week after. Seems ages til I see anyone after feeling like I was seeing someone constantly for the past few weeks!
Planning to go for lunch with a friend today at a tea room like a pair of old ladies, eating cake and drinking tea!!! Also planning to tell her about baby, have kept it quiet for ages now and can't quite find the words to tell?! So wish me luck
xxxxx
p.s. I have chocolate pillow breakfast cereal - how wrong is that!Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -

Lol Kindof, I have only had 1 person touch my bump without being offered so far, its one of DH mates (so yes a male!!) and it totally weirds me out. Ive no problem if my girl friends wanna touch and I invite them too, but for a bloke to do it seems odd, hes done it twice on 2 seperate occasions now!! Good luck at the midwife btw, yes they listened to the heartbeat on my 16wk appt so hopefully they should for u too.
LOL its weird isnt it lol
I think I am just going to have to somehow put up with it(I cant think of a way to tell her not to?)

Kindof: Hope you get to hear the heartbeat today!
The Asda delivery man who brought my shopping on Sunday touched my bump! He looked like he really couldn't help it lol It is massive tho!
If my mum goes to touch it I just take half a step back or fold my arms over it0 -
Morning everyone! Hope everyone's doing ok and all the new babies are happy and healthy.
I've got a couple of things on my mind today and a couple of questions for you knowledgable ladies!
1. Nipples!
My nipples are in agony. Particularly in the evenings and when I take my bra off. They are also very prominent, which is so embarrassing as I teach several teenage boys (piano teacher) and I can feel them poking out (the nipples that is!) constantly. Is this normal, and does anybody have any solutions?
2. Bad skin
I've broken out in really bad spots in the past week. I've always had spots as I never really grew out of it after the teenage phase. Can anybody recommend anything for it? I have quite sensitive skin. As a teenager, Oxy and Clearasil would bring me out in a rash!
Hope you can give me some ideas! I've noticed a couple of you talking about listening to the babies heartbeat. When's the earliest it can be hear?
Muso x0 -
LOL csh @ the ASDA man lol did you feel ok him touching it?
Thanks csh me too, OH is dying to hear it lol
Whats the old wives tale again aboiut the speed of the heartbeat determins the sex?
Muso - my nipples have hurt since I conceivedits not nice, I am having to wear a bra for bed cos if they rub on the bed sheets OWWWW I dont have any solutions for it though
And I did get a few spots as well (and I dont normally get any) but I cant really help with that either, sorry lol
Well I think you can hear the heartbeat from 12 weeks (I think) but Ive been told you get to hear it at the midwifes at every appointment from your 16 week appointment?
Ok I am off to staff training now (its in another building and takes me 25 mins to walk there from work) so I will catch up with you guys later (it will be after midwife appointment eek)Debt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Hope all goes well Kindof & you get to hear baby, it's amazing though I wish I'd taken OH with me now so he could've heard as I'd already heard once before at an extra scan and he's missed out
I'm not liking the idea of bump touching, as yet as so few people know nobody really hasExcept my brother who was unsure of when a baby could recognise voice so decided he'd sit and chat and say hello to baby! And my FIL who is just an idiot, last saw him at 7 weeks and he touched my non existant bump then asked if it was moving yet!!!!
Muso - don't worry eventually the nipple soreness will calm down. It's awful in the meantime though. I'd wear padded bra's to hide nips if I were youBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0
