tis no fun on eBay when you've got no money!!

I was looking at prams, that gave me a headache, so moved on to fire surrounds now lol.

    Want this :(http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290351735136&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  • Hi everyone, just caught up finally.

I am tired tonight as started training my job to the lady who is taking over today, cant say I like training people but she is ever so nice so cant complain.

My bump has felt much harder and stretched and 'stuck out' today and I get a sore area near my belly button too sometimes lately but only when im prodding around. I guess as time goes on bump will feel like this more of the time?

Lol Kindof, I have only had 1 person touch my bump without being offered so far, its one of DH mates (so yes a male!!) and it totally weirds me out. Ive no problem if my girl friends wanna touch and I invite them too, but for a bloke to do it seems odd, hes done it twice on 2 seperate occasions now!! Good luck at the midwife btw, yes they listened to the heartbeat on my 16wk appt so hopefully they should for u too. :)

  • One thing nobody told me.

Along with the bleeding after birth I would pass what looked like my own lung but was actually part of the placenta that hadn't come away. If this happens to you, save it for the MW and show her just to be sure.

In my hospital they also gave me pads.

Just wondered what you all thought of this btw... My sis gave me some baby stuff and i told her when i get my surestart grant i will give her money for them, as it's all brand new or hardly used and she could have easily sold it all on eBay.

    • Mamas & Papas Moses Basket with wooden rocking stand (link)
    • Lindam Bottle Warmer (think it's like this one)
    • Avent Express Steam Steriliser (link)
    • Phillips Baby Monitors (link)
    • Pack of 2 Mothercare bottles
    • Baby bath
    • Breastmilk freezer bags

How much should i give?! I wouldn't have bought any of this at the full prices, i'll be getting everything from boot sales so don't want to spend too much still

Kindof, probably missed you now but due tomorrow. (Tuesday). I also had issues with the cleaner at work touching my bump - I hated it (mostly cos she didn't ask, just lunged at me, and 2ndly she'd just finished cleaning the loo, EEEK) I just used to avoid her but that's not so easy with MIL I guess. Think you need to say something though cos she wont just suddenly stop she'll do it more and more

Beenie, love that fireplace. And seems a real bargain too.

Bear, thanks for that, I do remember reading it now but had forgotten. Probably would have completely freaked out if I had found that sometime next week so thanks again for the reminder. How are you and baby Nathaniel doing?

We are doing very well, thank you. Had issue with him not sucking enough in the beginning so he had slight jaundice and I wasn't producing enough colostrum, coupled with him being early meant he was very small and tired so he didn't want to breast feed, so Nathaniel is on the bottle. Not what I thought would happen but he is thriving now.

I can't believe how much he sleeps and he hardly ever cries. He's very good. He has still turned our world upside down!

I will post a pic when I can get OH to show me how!

Glad to hear he is settling now Bear, even if it is not quite the way you had in mind. And if he is sleeping and not crying loads then he must be a very contented little lad, well done.

Love to see pics when you know how. Hopefully I'll have one of my own to post soon. I'm tempted to go and steal my friends trampoline. Just need to get rid of this cold first then I will start on the curry and pineapple and stuff.

  • Evening all, quiet night again then!

Well i gutted all the fish and filleted them managed to off load some onto a neighbor who loves fresh fish but cant stand filleting them and i gave my mum some as a thank you for the car today. The rest is bagged and in the freezer.

Managed to reprogram the keys for the car so that's money saved. It is just me and OH tonight the kids went to mums just in case they keys fail in the morning. DS is very happy he loves to walk to school but he cant from here as theirs a main road and i wont let him cross it, mums is only five minutes from his school.

The dog is looking so much better tonight, very little scratching and so far the tablets haven't given him the runs so fingers crossed on that one, i have beige carpets:eek:

Hope everyone is well and has a good night.
    Appropriate vibes to everyone.
