Was it for the terry type, maybe it gunks up the fibres a bit? :)
It was when i was looking for what people thought of the different kinds, it kept coming up that certain creams because they create a water barrier are not suitable for washable nappies as they stop the cotton/liners from soaking up the moisture and would cause an overflow effect. lol

Although i did read that sore bots are less likely with washables but wanted something in the house just in case.

Nikki thanks i am too a believer in sudocream i use it for all sorts even get the dogs with it when they run in the nettles. just not sure if it was the best for washables.

Hi, I'm 5'1" too and was 7st pre preg with DD, I had her at 38 weeks and she was 8lb15oz and no stitches!
I'm now just about 40wks with this one but am half the size so who knows what he'll weigh!
Just wonder tho when you say measuring for a 9lb baby, do you mean just by them measuring your bump?? Because they can't actually tell from that. All midwifes may give an opinion on baby size but even sizing the baby from ultrasound isn't all that accurate.

Its the fundal height that is 'predicting' the 9lb. I guess we will just have to wait and see and let the professionals do their work at the time and make best decisions for me.

Thanks Glam.

I'm actually desperately hoping not to be here myself now. I have finally accepted that I have to do it, there is no pain stuntman to do the hard bit, so the sooner she arrives the happier I will be. Plus, then I'll stop getting phone calls and texts asking if I've had her yet. Honestly, do they really think I'd keep it a secret - and if I was I wouldn't suddenly own up just because they rang me.

Now I'm dealing with my big baby worries, moving on to money matters..... Has anyone tried Asda nappies for newborns? They seem very cheap so I'm wondering if they are actually any good.

32B, mackerel is nice bbq'd. Or fried in a lemon, almond and butter sauce. Just don't burn the almonds like I did.

Lisa, yes we are very similar..Im expecting a big baby too,..he was 3lb 5 at 29 weeks, so going by the 0.5lb a week rule, he's going to be around 8.5-9lb! My fundal height has always measured spot on but I know that doesn't really mean much? Doesn't worry me too much though, my ds was 8lb 13.5 and I managed to bring him into the world with just gas n air.
Think he's quite low down tonight, even sitting down my lady bits are throbbing!!

Congrats to Jillie (abit belated, sorry xx) and Fitzio!! :T
I still haven't packed up a bag incase I have to go to hospital (the bag I said I was gonna pack at 30 weeks :o) My friend who I am dedicating most of my time to at the mo is going with our kids on a school trip tommorow so while I have the time I'm gonna get it sorted!! I think being 17th on the list now has scared me abit!!!!!!
love my little man he is amazing :j
