Have lots of wind since op , b ut since last bowel movement after pessary in hospital , nothing else , getting a bit uncomfortable now, any recommendations for a bit of bowel movement , been eating raisins and fruit, and drinking water
Latoluse(sp?) if you want to try medicine. Your Doc should give you it. When on iron tabs I eat 2 weetabix for breakfast and another 2 for supper and this helps as I don't really eat fruit.
For the wind, try peppermint tea.0 -

I'm not planning on using a pram if i can help it. I will use the sling as much as possible and only resort to the pram if i have to or for really long walks. The pram we have was lovely 6 years ago for dd but is soo out dated now but since it still does the job and there is nothing wrong with it i wont be getting a new one. The pushchair we have for ds is only suitable from 6 months, I still occassionally use it with ds on school runs, he is a lazy boy.
I'm a little worried about how ds will take the new arrival, to be honest i probably pamper to him a bit more than needed. But i may just be worrying because he has been hard to deal with since he started preschool from tiredness.0 -

That is interesting, I hadn't really thought about a sling, I am going to have a look. Have you done any research, do you know which ones are rated highly?
I am sure your DS will get used to the new arrival, there is lots of advice on the net about how to help children adjust to new siblings.Bump due 30th December 2009 :j0 -

I wondered where your sis got the bugaboo bee for this price? I have been looking at it but haven't found cheaper than John Lewis £419
My sis got hers about 2 months ago when she had a voucher for 10% off and combined it with a code that was on here for another 10% off at mothercare.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

Hi
I don't really post on here but do read.
Just thought I'd let you all know about www.bizziebaby.co.uk - I came across it on this site and I registered in July, it costs £5.00 for the year and so far I have been sent Nipple Nurture Butter by Bella B - £8.99 (Nipple Cream) and the Tommee Tippee Microwave Sterlisier which is currently in the ASDA baby event for £10, my baby isn't even due for another 2 weeks!
There are details on the website but so far for me it has been well worth the £5 registration fee and as far as I know you just have to review the product when they send you a questionairre and you keep the product for free.

I've just been really shirty with my mum on the phone, and she's fed up.
I'm really really stiff and sore at the moment with my SPD and I find it really hard to get out of bed, chairs, etc without a considerable amount of pain, and having to hold on to something to balance myself. Once I actually get moving its not so bad, but going from resting to moving takes time. Our home phone answer phone kicks in after 6 rings. My mum and I have a reasonably regular routine where we phone each other on a Monday or Tuesday evening around 6pm, but she started phoning at odd times a couple of weeks ago, usually waking me up from a nap, and I explained to her how uncomfortable I was and asked her not to do it.
She's just phoned me now at 3.15 in the afternoon, and I was a bit snappy with her as it really hurt to get up and answer the phone quickly enough, even though I was only a few feet away. I can't leave it off the charger all the time as the battery goes flat, but I do try and have it close by me at times when I've arranged for her to phone, unless OH will be around to pick it up for me. Most other calls at this time of day would be likely to be an emergency from school, or a sodding telemarketer which would also annoy me. She refuses to use my mobile.
So, she's fed up because I was short with her, but FGS I'm due to give birth in less than 3 days, is it too much to ask for a bit of a rest at times! Alarmingly, my father also wanted to have a word, and ended the conversation by saying he hoped he would see me very soon. I do hope this means that they aren't planning a "surprise" visit when I am still in hospital recovering, or worse on my first day home, as I would really like a few days just to rest and recover, and they are hard work at the best of times. Last time I had a baby I was really ill, and my mother phoned me in hospital several times a day not to ask how I was but to hector me into changing the baby's name as she didn't like it (unsuccessfully) so I have no illusions that they will be sensitive to anyone's needs other than their own.
rant, rant...0 -
Nicki- my own mother seriously hard work too and gets on my wick constantly. I sometimes wonder how she managed to birth and raise 2 children with some of the stupid things she comes out with. Her latest being, after I had an antenatal at the GP's- did the doc say when the baby would come?? Eh?? Aye, 4o'clock on the 26th you ridicously annoying woman.
She seems to have an idea in her head that she'll be at the hospital the day I give birth and shes been told under no circumstances is she coming anywhere near. She also fills my DD head with all sorts of rubbish that isn't even true. I now limit the amount of time DD spends with her.
Ooo. that was a bit of a rant too lol All I really want is a wee bit of peace to be tired! And some space after to enjoy my baby without people annoying me!0
