That's mental Jenny! What are you supposed to do just put some earplugs in and leave them to cry all night?! Newborn babies will not just placate themselves if they wake-up hungry. What she said goes against all the advice I've ever heard to be honest. Sorry it went so rubbish for you Jenny that's all you need at this point when you need proper advice.

I had a different midwife yesterday for what (I hope) was my last appointment and she was pretty dismissive of every concern I had. Really bursts your bubble when you are looking forward to something and when you get there it's all poo because someone hasn't turned up x

Sorry your class was a waste of time this evening. Not sure I'll bother with them this time round, would like to do the hospital tour though (if they still do them! It's all so different this time round )

On the subject of ante-natal classes, we got our appointment through and we go in December. It's only 2 sessions and by then I'll be 30 and then 31 weeks. I thought they did them a bit later than this but did I just make that up? Or maybe they want to get me in before xmas actually....

Gymfriend are you going to St James? We have the ante-natal there even though I'm planning on HB.

Ooh jealous of your bump jenny, you look like you haven't put an ounce on anywhere else. I'm shocked how I seem to have put weight on my legs. I'm hoping some of it is swelling lol!

I have stretchmarks on the backs of my knees from being pregnant with DS lol :cool: I told a few friends once and they didn't believe that that was even possible, made me feel good lol :rolleyes:

SJ I've not sent off forms yet But yeah I'd guess we will be at St James, ooh will send off tomorrow before I get another telling off from the hospital! Maybe we'll be at the same one

Thanks for thoughts on swaddling wrap, think I'll pop it on the list. Saw a couple in the Tesco catalogue today & it got me thinking. Can anyone think of anything else small I can add to list? So far I have:
Swaddling wrap
Pushchair/car seat toy bar
Travel changing mat

OH has a massive extended family so I need a fairly long list for them to fight over

Thanks everyone for the nice comments, it's true, I don't look pregnant from behind! I'm so lucky, no stretch marks either yet - touch wood!

Was annoyed about the class to start with but not too bothered now as I think I know most of it anyway from all the books I've read and my sisters have demonstrated how it's done and will be on the end of the phone if I need any advice.
