No, tell them exactly what you want I say. That way you get the one you want, and they know that what they get you will be fully appreciated. Not that I'm suggesting you wouldn't appreciate it if they got something else but hope you see what I mean!!
If I'm getting a presentfor someone I don't mind if I'm told exactly what to get.0 -
Thanks for that. Glad I didn't turn up on the Tuesday then!! ha ha!0

Wow Jenny fab bump
SJ I've not sent off forms yetBut yeah I'd guess we will be at St James, ooh will send off tomorrow before I get another telling off from the hospital! Maybe we'll be at the same one
Thanks for thoughts on swaddling wrap, think I'll pop it on the list. Saw a couple in the Tesco catalogue today & it got me thinking. Can anyone think of anything else small I can add to list? So far I have:
Swaddling wrap
Pushchair/car seat toy bar
Travel changing mat
OH has a massive extended family so I need a fairly long list for them to fight over
Don't know if it would be any good to you but you actually get a free travel changing mat with the free mum and baby pack from Sainsburys

No problem
I'm gonna be dead nervous going to St James for these classes, without meaning to sound horrid there were some real unsavoury characters in the maternity unit the last couple of times we've been, told OH I was going to refuse any classes because of it!! He'll be shocked that I'm sending this back!
This list writing is fun, getting to peruse all the things I want but would never justifyBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
They have some gorgeous looking swaddling blankets in boots for a mighty £20 so couldn't justify it but I did see some nice ones in matalan for £5 which I'm thinking of going back for. My dd had "colic" when she was born and it really helped calm her as they can be pretty flaily with their arms when they tetchy or distressed. They have less give in them and seem more cottony and thinner than other blankets which is a good thing so they don't get baggy or make LO too warm as easily.0

One time when we went in it was a bit like Jeremy Kyle waiting room, one girl aged about 17 and 2 lads with her, me and DH thought they were waiting to find out her dates to work out which one was the dad!!!!
I'm hoping there will be nice people at the classes. I'd like to meet some other mums-to-be really as I'm the only 1 of my friends pg and none have kids now and I can't see any of them doing so any time soon.
Anyway, I have just set my alarm for 6.45 so I need to sleep now!!!
Night all xx0 -
Thanks Gill
Can I ask, if you know, what else comes in that box?
Will have to have a look in Matalan next time I'm nearby, they do seem mightily overpriced everywhere else.
Hoping for the same SJ - every time we've gone it's been similar, but as I've no pregnant friends or any friends who are anywhere near possibly being pregnant, I'm really hoping the others mums to be at classes will be niceWho knows, we might end up at the same one and I promise I'm nice

Morning if anyone else is up!
Been awake since at least 3, couldn't decide if last night's tea had started to have an effect or if it was just my imagination, prob the latter I think. Either way I was wide awake so now am up, on here, eating cereal & printing off lists of phone numbers & what people need to do with/for toddler when things do start! :rotfl:
Going to do ironing & start washer, get stand for Moses basket out of garage & generally potter until the others get up.
Will come back later & see who's up!

Morning all.
Had a restless night as just before I went to bed I noticed a bit of light brown spotting, It's slightly darker this morning but not had any pains or cramping.
I know a lot of people get this so I'm trying not to panic, but I never had it last time so am a bit anxious. Will go to work and will phone GP later.
Hope you all are OK, have a good day everyone xx0
