So glad the placenta's moved fattybooboo :)

Quick Q - are nappy bags worth buying? Noticed some packs of 150 scented ones in Sainsburys yesterday for about 45p - are they worth getting?
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j
  • Thanks gymfiend. I have bought some cheapy nappy bags from Tesco for a similar price, I imagine I will use them to take the nappy straight out to our wheely bin, but also figured if I dont then I can always use them as poop bags for our dogs, as we sometimes use these anyway, v mse!! :)

Realised you meant me, pm'd you back as well!

Thanks to everyone for labour vibes, keeping fingers crossed lol.:D None of my babies have been late, in fact the last one was 2 weeks early. Actually, that probably means this one WILL be late, just to balance the scales! :rotfl:
Had my lovely curry for tea, fresh pineapple with pineapple yogurt - didn't tell DH why we were having curry for the second time this week!
Madwoman - ***huge labour vibes to you*** hope your sweep thingy has set things off for you! :D
Might go have a hot bath & take a cup of RLT with me - if none of this works tonight/tomorrow, then this child is obviously not quite ready to put in an appearance. :rotfl:
Hoping it won't be long, cos I've been quite enthusiastic about housework this week - not like me at all :D - kept up with washing up, laundry, ironing, food shopping, etc.
Labour/sticky vibes as necessary, hugs & kisses to poorlies/stressed ones:kiss:
    A xo

150 bags for 45p sounds ok to me, but I haven't really looked at them! I guess I'd run out of carrier bags pretty quick if I used them, and I don;t really want nappies going straight into the bin or even the wheelie bin, and I don;t want a nappy wrapper thing, so yeah, thinking as I type, that sounds quite good to me!!

So I had my tea but now I want pasta and cheese. Hmmmmm.

Thanks :) Will pop in and pick some up tomorrow - they were reduced from £1.40 odd, usual inflated Sainsburys pricing though I think! Good thinking fatty, can use for cat poop if not for baby anyway :)

If you're using disposibles, although not an ideal environmental option, if you didn't use the bags your bin will smell of ammonia and poo. Ten or more nappies a day will make the bin smell pretty terrible if you just threw the nappies in. Sometimes it won't be possible either to leave baby or take baby with you to the weelie bin (eg, baby just out of bath). You can get them pretty cheap though. Also my mum told me you can get free dog bags from libraries (not sure if nation wide) I don't see how different they would be from the nappy ones except maybe be a darker colour.

I did try to find a solution for this last time but I never came to any I'm afraid.

I already buy nappy bags for doggy poo, i pay 99p for 300, think the value ones are cheaper though. I don't find they contain the smell much though with nappies, from what i remember with DS.

There's always the issue of leakage as well though if you just chuck 'em straight in the bin _pale_
