Sounds like a great birth Harley - apart from the tearing - so heal quick vibes coming your way. I love the bit about you thinking it was just baby moving more, I hope it's like that for me .
Hope you reach that cloud 10 soon and stay there for a while, you deserve it.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

Hello Ladies and bumps.
Just quickly popping on to let you know that my gorgeous Daughter, Kezia Iris Mae arrived at 5.54 am Tuesday 29th Sept. She weighed 7lb 11oz and is absolutely wonderful. I fell in love with her the minute I saw her and that feeling has gotten stronger every day since.
Think it was a fairly easy labour from what I can recall, but was so quick I could only have gas and air. Ended up with a quite nasty tear, hence having to stay in hospital until today.
Hopefully someone saw some of the messages on facebook and came on to update you. Hope too that Squishy and csh have their babies now too.
I'm heading back through to try to catch up now but vibes, hugs and welcomes to all in need.
Harley

I borrowed my friend's. She bought a huge paddling pool for her future children and to labour in. Very :money:. It was great with very high sides. Also quite amusing to have such a basic, earthy, medicalish thing going on (birth) whilst cartoon smily octopuses and fish look on happily :rotfl:.
The homebirth.org websites shows good pics of some that you can hire I think....
edit: yep, click waterbirth, then 'choosing a pool'. (sorry it doesn't seperate it's pages that site, so I can't link to the specific bit!)Just quickly popping on to let you know that my gorgeous Daughter, Kezia Iris Mae arrived at 5.54 am Tuesday 29th Sept. Yay harley, congratulations:T:T:T:T, what beautiful names(Iris is my middle name choice too after my lovely Grannie)
someone was saying (sorry multi quote didn't work!) about the vitamin thing and exceeding the RDA? Was it you Helen?
Well DH was very concerned about the same thing when I bought all the vitamins for Fergus' delivery.
So I looked up to see if there were any recorded incidents of toxicity to mother or baby caused by vitamin or mineral overdose.
The results were, that in the first trimester there can be damage to cranial-neural crest if you take too much Vit A (therefore no liver in PG and no Vit A in pregnancy vitamins).
The only other study suggesting toxicity was a one-off case study saying that a woman has ingested 10000 times the RDA of Iron, had her baby (healthy) and then died 2 days after the birth. On looking at the amount of iron it was, I think she must've swallowed a nail .
So I felt happy to go ahead, but obviously I don't mean I am advising that anyone do this, it's just the information which made me feel it was Ok IYSWIM?:D

Morning all, labor vibes for csh and squishy.
Massive healing vibes for harley.
Well i have managed to square the kitchen in time for kids getting up to mess it again(men and their midnight snacks:mad:). Washing is in. And i have sorted out the chops for tea. All of it done just to avoid doing the outside of windows, no idea what has happened but one of my blinds have slipped down and the window won't open without ripping the blind unit from the frame. Need to charge the drill i think just in case the fixings come out.
It's a beautiful day and the sun is shinning through the window and driving me nuts lol.
I'm 23 wks today:eek::j[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

Hey Glam! I am ok. Still lurking over here a bit (although not managing to keep up with all the posts)! Just been checking in for updates/important news. Keep meaning to migrate to the Parent thread, but it moves too quickly and I feel I just have loads of questions that everyone else covered ages ago, so not sure I will bother.
How are you and Jack getting on? Holly doesn't quite seem herself the past couple of days. Still, she is crying very rarely (only when demanding her bottle) so counting myself lucky!
x
Ask away over on the parent thread - that's what I do.
Jack is fab - has his off days as well but had a feed at 11.30am, then 3.30am, then when he woke at 7.30am I put him in bed with me and he's only just stirring now :j
Jack cries a bit more now he's older and farts like a trooper :rotfl:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Ask away over on the parent thread - that's what I do.
I agree with Glam, fitz, do please feel free to just pop in (no need to catch up if you've no time/energy) and ask away! There's no feeling of 'oh that's a question we've answered before!' because a) there often isn't a definitive answer anyway! and b) we've all got baby brain so we can't remember we've written it before :rotfl:. And it's lovely having the newborn ones amongst us
