Not ignoring the bit about oh - not much experience with blokes except my oh who is a bit confusing at the best of times
I know sorry, really doesn't make sense when you read it does it? They're back now and still not sure what it's all about I'm just hoping that it's not a gut instinct I'm getting and there aren't any fibs. I'm maybe a bit more paranoid than most as DD's dad was messing about when she was only a couple of months old (after he dumped me when pg and I'd stoopidly taken him back). Really, OH isn't the type to mess about with someone else at all, plus pretty sure he doesn't get the opportunity I just don't like feeling there's more going on than I'm led to believe IYSWIM.
Somnium - I know how you feel - I'm a quite a bit of a social phobic if I'm honest and although I love having friends (and honestly do have them!), I run a mile from situations where I might have to make them such as antenatal classes, parent groups, sling meets (sorry Glam:o) etc. At the moment friends have disappeared a bit as they really don't seem to be able to relate to the pregnancy thing having no kids themselves. Will really have to try to get out of this hiding away business.
Helen - Yes I'm doing all of that! I wasn't sure about the calcium either as you're right it does say "do not exceed the dose" so I'm taking 1200mg which is 400mg more than the stated dose. Wasn't sure what to do with the EPO either because the tub says take 6 capsules a day for 12wks to build up a chain in the body so I did that for a couple of weeks but that cost a fortune so back down to three.
Nikkit - thr bears a really nice idea my dd got one with birth certificate as her birthdate and now she thinks it's growing up with her lol.0 -

Just found an old post by Glam about what supplements she was taking. I'm on more or less the same plan but it's the calcium thats bothering me..she says she was taking 1800mg from week 34 I think it was then 2000mg at onset of labour but the RDA is 1200 and it says DO NOT EXCEED RDA..so erm..is it safe to take all that?
OH thinks Im mad, Im on x2 iron, x2 EPO x3 cups RLT and x2 calcium! From next week I'll be taking an extra RLT cup a day and upping the EPO to X3 (1 of those being inserted to cervix)
Anyone else doing this?
I'm on two cups of RLT a day because I can't remember to take more than that, pregnacare, 1xEPO and 800mg of calcium with vit D. I already get a lot of calcium through my diet so don't think I need too much more but will up the dosage nearer the time, not sure if there is a maximum but I think you are supposed to take a larger dose for it to provide pain relief.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

Weezl, do people take co-dydramol (not asking for medical advice here mind) during labour that you know of? I was prescribed co-codamol when I was expecting DD but wasn't sure if co-dydramol was similar. I have some and was considering taking it during the early stages of labour.0 -
EA - thats so fab to have a friend PG at the same time as you.
Woohoo for Harley can't wait to hear more.
Love the idea of a HB but so not gonna happen where we live atm, maybe next time round, besides I know as a first timer OH doesnt like the idea.
32b - joined Tesco baby club a month maybe more ago and haven't had anything from them. Oh and my OH is the same turning out lights, usually when am reading or walking up the stairs!
Feeling a lil down atm, I wish I had someone close by for company. Don't get me wrong as OH is fab to me but I have no nearby friends or family and I worry when baby turns up Ill be isolated. I have plenty of aquaintences but its not the same. My best friend who lives in the greek islands has hardly spoken to me of late and I feel she just isn't intrested. My Mum is lovely but a 3hr drive away and talking on the phone isnt the same as just hanging out. I'm not close to OH's family, well maybe his mum but find her a bit overbearing at times. I really hope I can make new friends once bubs is here, but even that worries me as I seem to be rubbish at making friends of late as I hate getting too close to people and being let down. My only life seems here on the net, but can't be tied to here all the time with a lil'un. Just wanna hang out and do coffee or something, not even sure any of this makes sense.
Can't believe you don't have lots of friends, you were lovely and chatty at aqua natal. I'm in a similar situation though, my best friend just moved back to Cyprus and she keeps saying she wants to come back but I can't see it as she doesn't have anything to come back for (was made redundant and split up with her boyfriend). Then the rest of my family are all up north. I'm hoping to meet people in mother baby groups after the birth, was hoping to meet people at antenatal classes as well but everyone just disappears quite quickly after the class so we don't get a chance to chat.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

seems unlikely to me that anything sold OTC can be more powerful than the pethidine/diamorphine that the hospitals will happily give us.
I guess the danger is that you might think you were in early labour but actually be beyond 8cm, and then anything with a sedative effect could still be in babies system at the birth, which would obviously not be good.
sorry bit rambly, just thinking as I type!:D

or are they both the same different price because of colour ?
many thanks in advance , its quite away for me to get to my nearest mothercare and with no driving at the mo , i hope you dont think i'm cheeky , sorry if you do .
No probs nikkitThey are indeed the same pushchair, the first is an out going colour so hence the cheaper price. I think there a nice PC but they dont lie flat which is what I think puts some folks off them. Its still suitable from birth though and price wise, as it includes the infant carrier is a good buy. Have sold several and have only seen one back that I know of so looks like there relatively problem free. HTH and feel free to ask as many Qs as you want, its really no effort.

Jenny - I can be a real chatterbox but I think thats cos I dont get to chat regularly , specially bout baby stuff hehe. My family are all up North too, Mum in Derbyshire near Burton and Bro in Harrogate, everyone else in between.
Anyhoo just had the Turkey stew and feel much better now, amazing what yummy food can do for you. Got plenty left over too so should freeze for another meal, love my slow cooker so yummy. BTW I used a cheapie turkey leg from Mr T and can highly recomend it, tasted so yummy and made shed loads.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2
