Thanks for the link weezl :D Just had a good read but unfortunately I'm not on there, I have a type of tumour & they're not sure of what effect birth might have on it, will it increase pressure etc. I see why they think hospital's best, and can live with it if I get my water birth!

Fab idea about the secret santa, can I play please? :D I have to tell OH exactly what I want in implicit detail or I end up with something silly...like the year I got a private number plate, I know this was because he was working in a garage and didn't get time to buy anything as it was regged on December 23rd!!!

Sorry about the rubbish bank Kindof :( With you on the eBaying too - also car booting again tomorrow to make more £s! Lovely 5.30am start.

Congrats to Harley :D Can't wait to hear about her little girl.

EA - how fab your friend being preg too, I'm living in hope one of my friends will join me!!

Had such a tiring day, went into town and found a market that sells seconds of all the Arcadia shops, so with holes, broken zips etc, managed to pick up a couple of bits that mum will fix & even some maternity Topshop jeans...for £1 each, wahoo! Now I'm sat eBaying while OH & my little sis cart things to the car for tomorrows carboot :D Debating tea...fajitas, enchiladas or pasta? Just can't decide!

    Cheap plastic sieve

Flush out your hosepipe if it's your garden one, to get rid of any bio film, bacteria etc

practice inflating and filling pool with timings so you know roughly when to begin.

Have your own water thermometer there, so the midwife will let you go hotter!

Battery powered inflater rather than foot pump, don't wear your birth partner out on doing a foot pump!

    Still sports drink on hand

camping mattresses under the pool if it doesn't have a super thick inflatable bottom

have a clock with a second hand in the room where the pool is and a little table for the midwife's kit and for checking baby on.

check the floor can cope with the weight of full pool plus you. Some people can't have them if in a flat :)

will add more if I remember anything! HTH :)

Just found an old post by Glam about what supplements she was taking. I'm on more or less the same plan but it's the calcium thats bothering me..she says she was taking 1800mg from week 34 I think it was then 2000mg at onset of labour but the RDA is 1200 and it says DO NOT EXCEED RDA..so erm..is it safe to take all that?
OH thinks Im mad, Im on x2 iron, x2 EPO x3 cups RLT and x2 calcium! From next week I'll be taking an extra RLT cup a day and upping the EPO to X3 (1 of those being inserted to cervix)

    Anyone else doing this?

Cheap plastic sieve Yep, got one

Flush out your hosepipe if it's your garden one, to get rid of any bio film, bacteria etc We are going to just buy a new bit of hose

practice inflating and filling pool with timings so you know roughly when to begin.
OH is being tight and says we can't have trial runs cos it's gonna cost enough to fill the pool when the time actually comes! We have inflated pool though so know it doesn't take long to do that part at least.

Have your own water thermometer there, so the midwife will let you go hotter!
    Good idea!

It does have an inflatable bottom but the plan is to have it sit ontop of our nice thick shaggy rug for extra comfort.

have a clock with a second hand in the room where the pool is and a little table for the midwife's kit and for checking baby on. Good idea

check the floor can cope with the weight of full pool plus you. Some people can't have them if in a flat :)Not a problem- pools going in dining room and it's a concrete floor

will add more if I remember anything! HTH :)

    Thanks,you are a little star :D

 Grrr! How are you feeling now in your tummy? All better? xxx

thanks for asking , still very sore , the scar is healing nice until you get to where you sit down and your belly folds by your bikini line then it goes all red and bloody and a bit weepy, thats the bit which isn't healing still on antibiotics , i have my 20 week scan and consultant on monday so hopefully he will tell me more .

there is a funny thing which since having this cyst ( big 8cm x 8cm x 4cm )drained , for years my bowels have been lazy every few days they would open , but since coming home from hospital i go every day (tmi) but when they told me this cyst was stuck to my bowels behind uterus and stuck near bladder , making me wonder now if it may of been there for years and may of been causing all these problems.

Butother than that am feeling so much better , just sore getting up and down and long walks . so still only doing little things until completely healed.
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec

EA - thats so fab to have a friend PG at the same time as you.

Woohoo for Harley can't wait to hear more.

Love the idea of a HB but so not gonna happen where we live atm, maybe next time round, besides I know as a first timer OH doesnt like the idea.

32b - joined Tesco baby club a month maybe more ago and haven't had anything from them. Oh and my OH is the same turning out lights, usually when am reading or walking up the stairs!

Feeling a lil down atm, I wish I had someone close by for company. Don't get me wrong as OH is fab to me but I have no nearby friends or family and I worry when baby turns up Ill be isolated. I have plenty of aquaintences but its not the same. My best friend who lives in the greek islands has hardly spoken to me of late and I feel she just isn't intrested. My Mum is lovely but a 3hr drive away and talking on the phone isnt the same as just hanging out. I'm not close to OH's family, well maybe his mum but find her a bit overbearing at times. I really hope I can make new friends once bubs is here, but even that worries me as I seem to be rubbish at making friends of late as I hate getting too close to people and being let down. My only life seems here on the net, but can't be tied to here all the time with a lil'un. Just wanna hang out and do coffee or something, not even sure any of this makes sense.
