So pleased for you Gill, been thinking of you this morning. Brilliant that you got to see baby moving and heart beating. It's so lovely when you can get that reassurance.

It won't be long before you can feel it moving around then it all starts to feel very real. Approx 20 weeks so there is something else for you to look forward to.

Hello all.... just had midwife appoint 36+4 and I'm 2/5 engaged she said baby in right position and quite low.. wondered why I felt like it was going fall out ha ha xxxx

Don't you go queue jumping young lady!!! Squishy, csh and I have been waiting (not) very patiently for our babies. If you go first I think we may have to form a queue for cuddles since ours are being delayed.

Awww thats so cute!! At our early scan we were only 6+5 so little bean just laid there being all lazy hehe. Perked up enough for 12 week scan though :D

Im glad you and bean are ok gill! :) Did you get a pic?

And kindof - yes it is the one next to your thumb, your pointing finger hehe.

Yes I've got a pic -it's not as clear as some of the images we saw on the monitor but I can't stop looking at it.

I'll put it on if anyone can tell me how to do it

We recorded Bumpers heartbeat on our phones when we heard it the other day at the midwifes.

I didn't think to do that when i heard it at docs the other day. I must remember to do it at my next MW appointment.

Or hope my doppler starts picking it up :D

  • Afternoon everyone, yay i have my scan on thursday. I cant wait, by my dates i'll be almost 14weeks then. I cant believe how quick its going. Scary.

With my first i started my perinium massage - reccomended by my midwife she explained how to do it - at about 28ish weeks i never used anything special but i found it easier to do in the bath and i'll definately be doing it this time round too. I never tore thankgod as that was my biggest fear not the actual birth itself just tearing.

Welcome scotsgirl and congrats - i had terrible morning sickness too and lost quite a bit of weight. I found seabands worked well but they can hurt after a while i had quite bad bruises on my wrists after using them. Ginger biscuits did nothing, i was then told they wouldnt because there wasnt enough ginger in them and too much sugar which can make symptoms worse:rolleyes:. Fizzy drinks worked ok for me - why i dont know i cant stand them normally or now. Just eat little and often and eat what you fancy not what you think you should be eating mine eventually went at 11weeks hope yours doesnt last too long.

This says week 34-ish, but weezl just said she did it from week 27! If you do semi-regularly it wouldn't hurt anything to start early: http://www.thinkbaby.co.uk/news/article/mps/uan/196

I just don't get how you are meant to DIY???

The instructions say to sit, but surely that resticts access to the region in question and then how exactly can you get both thumbs working in there whilst trying to push them backwards with a bump in the way (or even without)? I have a suspision that being a contortionist may help here :o

I think I am a bit late anyway at 36 weeks tomorrow- have tried a few times when in the shower, but again the logistics or actually getting access properly are a total mystery to me
