What about opening a joint account?
Some earlier posts in this thread, e.g.

appear to suggest that you can.Stompa0 -

Can't find a link to open a joint account online

This is all I get:
Yes, I'd noticed that. FWIW if you click on that link and click on 'Read our FAQs', FAQ #6 says:
6. Can I open a joint account with another person?
Any Citibank account can be opened jointly with any other person provided both parties successfully meet our application criteria. Please note that for a joint application we will need information from both parties to proceed with the application. (See Question 2 above for the documents we require). Each account holder is authorised to operate the account. Please read our terms and conditions for further information on joint accounts.
I can't see an online way of applying though.Stompa0 -
Is it me or is there no way to fund this account 'normally', using a Direct Debit which you initiate from the Citibank website, like most of the other online savings accounts I use (one only used debit cards to fund the account)
As far as I see it I have linked my current account one way, I can only send funds to it from their website, and then have to use my banks website to fund the other way ??????0 -
Hi Steeve
From what I've gleaned, when making a deposit you have to "push" the money to it from elsewhere, rather than "pull" it from the Citibank website by DD.
I was told that it's not possible to fund with a debit card due to problems Citibank have been experiencing with fraud (despite the letter that came with the savings card expressly stating you could), so I'd be interested to hear whether anyone has managed this successfully.0 -
I tried to phone them to ask a couple of questions but was directed to the website which didn't answer my questions!
Does anyone know of an easy access account which is available as a joint account please?

You used to be able to open a joint account online, I did this soon after the account launched. But the link for joint account applications seems to have gone..........What about opening a joint account?
Maybe they are rejigging it as the joint account application didn't ask for a nominated linked account and I had to arrange that subsequently. Nor did it ask for any ID verification (that might be though because I'm already an Egg customer).0 -
I too have had problems entering my passport number online. I am not sure why they offer this as a method of identity when it does not appear to work.
What is the maximum amount that can be transferred into the account in one go? Is it £10k?0 -
Could anyone please tell me approximately how long it takes from applying to receive the documentation necessary to activate this account? Is it about 7 days? (postal strike action allowing)
Once you get the documentation to activate the account, could you for example leave it a few days before actually activating the account? So in other words the account and bonus are only active once you've made the telephone call as others have described?
The reason I ask is I would like to coincide having this account opened and ready so that I can put the money from my Egg fixed rate bond that matures in the next couple of weeks into it.
Many thanks

Never mind I've just applied now anyway, I'm assuming that the account won't be "live" until I activate it, so hopefully the boomf will arrive in a week, then the week after I'll activate and transfer the money from my newly matured Egg fixed rate bond over
