Citibank - Flexible Saver Issue 6 - paying 3.25% (3.30% AER)

Just to add a bit of balance, I applied for a Citi Flexible Saver account on 10th October. My card arrived today, a day after my PIN number.
Rang them on 0800 00 88 00 and my call was answered inside a minute, took less than 4 minutes to activate the account and I spoke to an English operator.
I've done a transfer of £10 from my current account in the first instance to check it hits the account, and I'm going to try a transfer out before I put any serious money in but it looks fine to me up to now.0 -
Have to agree with Blueboy, the Citi account seems fine. I've transfered money in & out without problem. There was the inital hassle of opening the account, and struggling to get through to them on the phone. This does however seem to happen most accounts that are top of the savings tables; they get overwhelmed and unable to initially cope. Should now be able to operate this online without having to ring them again (fingers crossed...).
Only drawback is that they don't have faster payments, but that seems to be coming.

Similar to my experience except that it took 6 minutes for them to answer. It was an Indian call centre the guy who answered spoke better English than I.
I have done a test transfer of £1 in and out all works as it should.0 -

No I was not required to provide any verification of identity.
You have to "push" money into the account ie you send from your bank account.0 -
. . . There was the inital hassle of opening the account, and struggling to get through to them on the phone. This does however seem to happen most accounts that are top of the savings tables; the companies seem shocked that the product they've spent thousands / millions of pounds creating, developing and marketing might actually turn out to be attractive to customers. They should hire someone to perform some capacity management analysis before they launch their products so that the first impression their new customers get isn't one of a shocking experience on the end of a phone listening to inane messages and even worse music.
There. Corrected that for you.0 -
So is the intrest rate 3.25%? If so how does this 2.24% bonus work then as im not too sure?0

Can you pay into this account at any time i.e drip-feed? Its not like a bond issue is it where you can only pay into the bond only while the issue is open.
Also, can this flexible saver issue 6 account be opened joint online?
Thanks.0 -
What about opening a joint account?0
