well i went for my interview with DHL and it went well, The bloke seemed nice. He told me that it would be 85p per package and although i would start on 25 packages per day if i then wanted to i could have as many as i could cope with - anything 60, 80,100 etc

he said that they deal with the extra insurance costs and courier costs which i was worried about as its so expensive to buy myself.

Nothing much else done today. I am off to do my daily scratch cards and work out the new numbers for the job.

    see you soon

well i have been offered the job - not really surprised. It was a if your interested and turn up you have got it, or at least thats what it felt like. I have said i will start monday and have got an hours training to do and then they will give me my 1st batch of parcels to deliver. I worked out i will be about £200 extra per month profit so that would be nice to pay off debts quicker. If it does turn out to be slave labour i will have to rethink, but got nothing to loose in trying.

Nothing much else to say. waiting for child benefits to come through before we can get anymore food or pay anymore bills. Should be monday and i think i have everything we need till then - if not its tuff really! Think i have about £3 in purse in a real emergency.

Oh and only 90p until i can get my hands on my £30 scrathcard winnings - 9 more days at the most :)

Hope everyone else has had a good day x

change of plan. i am not taking the job. OH doesnt want me taking ds in the car while i am delivering the parcels. so frustrating as it would have given me a chance to earn a few extra pennies.

Another frustrating thing is that the £30.10 that i have won on the scratchcards can not just be withdrawn. I know your all saying 'we all know that' but i assumed wrongly. Instead i am on a mamouth bingo playing session to get actual winnings rather than bonus monies.

    On a brighter

On a brighter not we may be entitled to a few pennies off our council tax so i am now filling in the form ready to hand in on monday when we go up town

me again, well i have had a great day today. the house looks a real mess but never mind it was fun. My dd and i have been cooking all day - it took a little longer as she was helping. We have made cookies, carrot cakes and banana cakes. doesnt look much when i type it but it took quite a while as we only have a certain number of tins that i could use so had to wait for 2 to cook and then empty and refil.

Been listening to the christmas mucis on the telly - sad i know but i love it - and think i might make a start on some of mums pressies tonight. need to ssend them to the usa so need those finished asap. well goodnight

:rudolf:morning all. i have just taken on a new client so that was good. A few extra pennies per year! i have also been looking at OH wages and it looks like i need to ring up tax credit people and get them to adjust the figures. Looks like we could be due an extra £95 per month. That will help with a few extra bits. Waiting for OH to realise that in a small way he is actually going to be worse off and i will be reaping the rewards as the tax credits go into my account and not his.

I am doing the remainder of my christmas shopping tomorrow and am really excited. OH is having the kids all day and i get a child free shopping trip. I might even treat myself to lunch at a pub. If not a jacket pot on the bench will do me. Got my list and the money in my account that i have been saving so its just hoping that everything is in stock now!:xmassmile

i have been wondering about our tax credits. on the benefit calculation it said that i would be £95 better off each month. as were 6 months into the year will they give me a lump sum of £95 x 6 to make up the difference or will they spread the lump sum over the next 6 months? It would certainly be useful. it would cover all of spending money that we will need for holiday in usa in march or maybe a large chunk off my debts.

All of the christmas shopping - gifts - has been done. I am still working on my list that i posted a while back. Some of the gifts need to be done asap as they are being posted or delivered at the end of this month. Everything was within the budget which i am really happy about.

nothing much has happened today. getting impatient about tax credits and was hoping to have heard by now what our new payments would be. they have been really quick in the past and was hoping for the same again. Also realised that if we get a lump sum it would be more than 6 months, more like 7 1/2. must go finish cleaning the house as brother and girlfriend coming over tomorrow for pizza and Wii night. OH suggested it as it would not cost much so that should be fun. If anyone knows about the tax credit thing please let me know. Thanks x

I have got a busy day of cleaning the house today so mustn't stay on here too long. dd has woken up with a temp and a stuffy nose so will be keeping an eye on her. ds however seems full of life and is running around unpacking everything i have just put away! Anyway i hope everyone has a good day and i will be back once the house is tidy - see you next week then:)
