SAHM needs to pay off debts

  • Hi Slm

Oooh you are making me all broody!! I have only one 'baby' and he turned 14 last week. I'm at the last chance saloon stage ie 40's so don't think it will happen, totally jealous of people with lots of chubby cute babies.

When I look around the shops now baby equipment and nappies are so much cheaper, cots and buggies used to cost hundreds of pounds.

When DS was a baby Safeways did a BOGOF on pampers. I bought enough to last 2 years!! Saved hundreds but they were stuffed everywhere in our little flat. You would open the wardrobe and they would all fall out. This was before MSE was invented!

I think you will find baby number 3 will hardly make a dint and you sound totally sussed.

    Tata..

thanks dee. i am just finding that i am so impatient but at least it gives me time to make a better dent on the debts.

all of my friends have 1 or 2 children so not sure what 3 will be like, but i was one of three and the only problem that i remember was youngest didnt like sitting in the middle seat of the car. sure there were other things but i dont remember.

what a misserable day outside. Well were off swimming later today with my dad and maybe the OH if he isnt busy with car stuff. Kids want to go now, but its not till 3 so might make some halloween biscuits. Yes were a day late but ran out of time yesterday after saying that we were going to make them.

Well its 4 months to go before we visit my mum in the USA. my weight has not changed since trying to loose weight, in fact its probably gone up. OH bought some doughnuts home that were on the staff shelves at work. 3 boxes of 12 and i think only 1 box is left. i have no self control at all. Must try harder with weigh as want to be comfortable when on the plane and not squeezed into the seat. There is also going to be a lot of walking as were off to disney for at least 5 days and this will be busy. Mums new OH likes to cram as much into the day as possible and expects everyone to keep up.

Were also no further forward with saving spending money either. All tickets and accomodation has either been paid or been taken care of by mum so really it is just spending money for the 2 weeks. OH is hoping to replace his wardrobe as he really have very little in the way of clean clothes. Most are used for working on car, diy or his work uniform. Only had one pair of decent jeans and possible 3 tshirts and 1 shirt to actually wear out in public. He therefore will need some money for this as well.

Joined another bingo site through quidco yesterday and won 25p on the free scratchcard. quidco will give me £5 hopefully and the bingo site will match the £5 i deposited so hopefully a little better off.

Well after such a sucess with cleaning the house, i have managed to empty out my cupboard so that i can now work. Not managed my target of all work to be finished by halloween but it is nearly there. Moving date to 7th Nov. The rest of the house needs another good tidy as the kids have had a few days to mess it up already!

Anyway enough of me rambling. Have a good day x

    hi ya hun

Sorry I haven't been around for a week, just caught up on your diary, and we are so similar!!!

What with ttc in march and being sooooo impatient about it.... and both of us not having any will power when it comes to weight loss... think we both need to keep each other going and spur each other on.

I can't believe the weather I could go swimming outside here, it's that bad!

going to continue drinking my tea and being a lazy mare!

    speak soon

i keep trying to give the doughnuts away so that i dont eat any more. OH keeps saying ' i havent had one yet' so i keep saying have one now then but he says he doesnt want one yet. they will all be gone before he gets one!

i havent joined the thread yet but will join in the make £5 per day, thinking i will put half to holiday fund and the other half to the debts.

Also need to look in freezer again so that i dont buy anything we dont need this week. i will make a shopping list and make sure i stick to it. no extra bargins in my trolly this wk! also meal planner for this week is needed.

We seem to have a lot of bacon in the freezer and dad gave us a bag of potatoes from one of his farmers the other day so will be eating bacon and potatoes followed by doughnuts for the rest of the week!

it is very nice to hear that i am not the only one who goes round in circles not accomplishing what i set out to

well i have just got back from picking dd up from nursery and have unloaded the food shopping. spend almost £60, but this will keep us going until next payday on 17th. The cupboards are crammed full and the freezer is looking good as well. All healthy stuff too - well apart from a few value scones for the kids. These will be frozen and 2 at a time will be taken out for them, not me!

Its a lovely sunny day so might try to get sheets out to dry in a minute and hope i havent left it too late.

I didnt make my £5 a day yesterday. Only managed 35p. Not good for 1st day. I have gone back to using my old phone as there was nothing really wrong with it but to get best deal they gave me a new one. I looked on those sites where you can sell them and they wold give me between £12 and £15. Think i will do this and that will be a few more pennies for the pot. Most of my dd's went out today so we are penniless again and still got a few more things to go out - not sure where i can get extra money from this month? will have to have a think

hope everyone is having a good day x

A little while back i applied to work for DHL. They drop between about 25 parcels off each day all within a 3 mile radius of my house. I then deliver them for 65p per parcel. Wll i have an interview with them tomorrow and just trying to work out the figures.

Will i be any better off as wtc will be cut and then petrol has to be taken off that amount. Plus it depends if the people that i am delivering to are actually in. if not i would have to go back at a later time. I can however take my children with me and do it at a time that is good for me. I am quite confussed.

I think i may give it a go for a month and see how things go. Allowing for petrol and things i think i will be about £100 better off each 4 weeks.

there is quite a lot of bad press regarding the above dhl job. although i would be slightly better off i have to work out if the extra £100 or so £'s per month is worth the 60 hours it would take. is slave labour worth paying a little more money off my debts and this is before any taxes get taken off but i dont think i will be earning enough to pay tax. Havent allowed for NI though
