i feel good today as work is nearly done for the year. only one return left to do and as i am waiting of hmce i cant really do much yet. My brother also collected the pressies for relatives in cheltenham so they are out of my way - more space.

tonight i think i am going to hang the remaining washing out and then have a nice long bath and a face mask. A bit of me time is needed i think.

Feeling a little tired this morning even though i had a fairly early night. DS thought it was a good idea to get up and get me up at half 5 this morning. I am just not a morning person and need to sleep until 7 at the very earliest!

Anyway i have done the washing up and put another load in the washing machine.

OH bought home the quote for our ceiling last night so we have to think where to find the money from - anyone got a money tree going spare? Last winter our hot water tank burst and came through the ceiling and although OH had put up new plaster boards it is still a real mess - but at least the hole had gone. The quote includes painting the room but to be honest i think for the saving of £200 i think i could do this! They were going to use the paint we had anyway so only the labour costs.

Very embarressing, but at least i had tights on so most of me should have been covered. It was the fact that no one said anything. I was parranoid for the rest of the day.

Anyway have opted for jeans today! me and the children have been into town this morning to have a look at the christmas tree festival in the local church. They also had some animals outside that the children could stroke and feed. DD had her picture taken feeding the goats so may be in the local paper next week - i feel quite proud that they asked.

Only spend £2 and that was on a hat each for the children as the theme for their party this year is gold and silver. Thought they could wear their normal clothes plus the gold or silver christmas hat. Saw some of the other mothers and directed them to the hats so thats us all sorted.

i have just replied to a freecycle ad that is offering a dishwasher so please everyone cross fingers as i so want one. It is the one real chore that i hate and the kitchen is always a mess. Apparently the bearings may be on the way out but it is just a little noisy - i can cope with that for now as it still works

  • Good luck with the dishwasher! Let us know how you get on.

I've stopped using mine every day as I'm watching electricity usage whilst on mat leave but I love it all the same.

Remember to cut your d/washer tablets in half to save money!

Noticed that you had join the Fugal living 2010 , I've joined too. Good luck ! I'm looking forward to it.

no news yet but i am still hoping. yes joined the frual thread and am hoping to keep focused on not buying those little things for kids and also the impulse buys that add up to quite a lot.

The town has got another day of festivities so once dressed (terrible that we havent managed it yet - look at the time!) we will wonder there and see whats going on. I know there are free mince pies and one of the local nurseries has got free activities for the children so will see what that is.

I also need to pop to aldi and possibly adsa to get a few bits and see what theis weeks super 6 are. Its free parking in town today so will prob take the car as we have quite a few heavy things on my shopping list.

OH came home last night all festive and has put up the christmas tree. He broke the ladder for the loft in the process - not sure how - but it just feels wrong. We normally put it up either on the 1st or the 1st weekend in dec but never before. He wanted to see the childrens faces in the morning when they came down as he goes to work too early during the week to have seen them. Guess its christmas here now then x

i am a happy bunny this morning :) i have just been offered the dishwasher off freecycle that i mentioned the other day. You would think i had won the lottery the way i am feeling. Also about to go and cancel sky as its not been working properly for over a month i would say and OH has finally agreed to cancel it. He is hoping that we will get it back soon but i am hoping freeview will be sufficient for us.

I hope everyone else is having a good day like here x
