Aw, hope your dd feels better soon. DS3 got his immunisations yesterday, and we've been kinda looking closely at him, watching for any temp or crankiness, but so far so good.

Sounds like you're getting things well organised. Wish I could say the same today. LOL

  • Hi Slm,

sorry not popped in for a while. I get so distracted, I start reading people's diaries and end up all over the place. I was just thinking about you the other day wondering what you were up to so glad I found you.

Shame about the job, might have been worth trying but I think OH could be right, if you were to be waylaid by a customer etc.

There is a benefits board where you might get some help about wtc. Good news that the extra money will go to you ha ha! I'm so bossy about the money in our house, my partner doesn't get a look in, just hands it all over to me. All the responsibility too, and the paperwork which I hate but that's the downside of being a control freak:rotfl:.

Just thinking, have you done the snowball calculator which is somewere on here, which will give you a debt free date. Something to look forward to and aim for. Most people seem to beat it and pay off debts earlier. Amazing what a bit of focus can do.

Bye for now and best wishes.

Hi triggles and dee, thanks for popping in to say hi, thought i was chatting on to myself for a while there. it gives me a little more encouragement to keep writing if someone is actually reading.

I am feeling a little poorly today, my head and throat hurt, but have so much to do. Got some orange juice for vit c and some chocolate for medicinal purposes so i should be fine. DD seems to be better although a myserious tummy ache appeared apon getting to nursery again - she just doesnt want to go. She is fine once i leave and always has a good time, but the saying goodbye seems to be a problem the last month or so.

I finally found a power cable for my sewing machine last night so was able to get my gran and uncles curtains sewn. Just need a little handstitching on the corners and they will be done. Needed them done by thursday as brother is going to visit them and will take them for me. I must wrap all of the pressies for him today so that job is out of the way.

might do the 2 bread baskets today while i have the sewing machine out so they are done. Must get a move on with my accounts though as people are getting impatient to. Off to contact one client now to arrange for them to come round and finalise things so tax return can be sent tomorrow hopefully.

    Have a good day :)

well i have made a little progress and can finally wrap things up for my mum and get ready to send. Feeling quite possitive on the organisation front but also took a look at my bank balance and need some money to come in before the 1st. Looks like i got over excited about finishing my pressies. Although i kept within the budget some of the income wont come in until 7th dec but bills paid on 1st dec. hoping the accounts work i am doing this week will be paid asap and then i can bank it for dd's to clear

I know that i should be in bed but i was on a roll so kept going. Will suffer in the morning but never mind. Only 2 more tax returns and thats all work done until after christmas so my mind can be a little more focused on fun. It will also clear the study even further as their books and records will be given back - hurray:j.

right i am off to bed and will tackle the remainder of list later

i am so close to finishing my work. HMCE seem to have a problem and it wont let me in one of my clients self assessment forms - so frustrating having to wait for them. I managed to finish the other form last night so it really is just the one left. Everyones coming round either tonight or tomorrow evening to authorise me to send them off and then its christmas time for me and hopefully pay day!

I need to complete our council tax form tonight as its been sitting on my desk too long now and we should be due a discount - cant get it if the forms not sent can i.

Also need OH to take passport photo for me as mine is the only one not done yet. Need to send these off as soon as possible as going away 1st March and my mum is starting to panic we wont make it in time.

well must get going and do the washing up.have a good day

still not got round to the washing up so must do that in a minute. I got DS photo printed today at asda. i didnt realise they came in pages with 6 photos per page and so i ordered 4 photos or so i thought. I now have 4 x 6 = 24 photos of him. Maybe i can use these for christmas or something! Quite annoying as the lady was helping me and knew what i wanted them for. Good job they were not too expensive.

Gutted about the bank charges news today. OH had at least £2000 due back if it had gone the right way. Never mind we will just take a little longer to get back into the black.

I'm another serial lurker on here - just wanted to say you're doing so well and all these little changes (or little triumphs with OH) will definitely add up!
Hope you hear from the Tax Credits soon!

Hi nicki sue - nice to hear from new people - keep popping in every now and again. I ended up ringing the tax credit people yesterday and they are going to give me more per week but no lump sum - to be honest i thought it might be a little cheaky to expect this but was a nice thought. Anyway i will be about £95 better off each month so cant complain. If i save all of the £95 between now and our holiday that will be £380 plus we have asked for spending money for christmas. We are staying with my mum and step dad so hoping to bring most of the spending money home with us. All disney tickets have been bought / won already so dont need to worry about those either. Mum and her other half often go to disney so will know where the best bargins are to be had if you can call theme park food etc bargins! I am starting to get really excited about it now
