to be honest i think it is going to take quite a lot of moving things around to get the dishwasher where it needs to be but i am sure it will be worth it. So excited. OH is collecting it tomorrow evening but not sure when it will be plumbed in yet.

I have also been thinking about another little project - i think i might change part of our clothes wardrobe into my office rather bing under the stairs. We dont really use this part of the wardrobe for anything other than junk and if the computer and my records were moved up there i could store the mess of childrens toys in the understairs cupboard. I am just thinking it through at the moment before i mention it to the OH. I just like the idea of the living room being toy free once the children have gone to bed. I honestly think i would have more room if i turned wardrobe into office plus there is a phone line and plug sockets there already. Probably wouldnt cost anything to do either.

slm - you can use your sky box for free basic sky (like freeview) I believe - I'm not sure of all the details, but if you browse the section that has tv stuff in it, I'm sure it's there. Or you may find it on the sky website.

I like the office idea. We keep our office stuff in the dining room, in one corner. And then our computer is a laptop, so I can work on things during the day in the living room if I'd like, which is handy. I try to keep the living room toy free in the evening - we have DS2 help pick up all the toys that have been out during the day and put them in a toy box at 5:30 when he is getting ready to start his bedtime routine.

i am quite tempted to move the office and have mentioned it in passing to OH but there was no real comment - this may be a good sign as he didnt say 'dont be daft woman' or words to that effect which he normally does if he doesnt like the idea!

I have the dishwasher in my kitchen - in fact right in the middle of the kitchen so we are having to move around it to get anywhere. I am hoping that i might be able to transfer the contents of one freezer into our other freezer and then move things around. Just had brainwave though and could just move the other freezer nearer to the table and then move things around. Once we have inherrited my dads upright freezer both of the smaller ones should go.
Sorry that was a bit of a ramble. Still need to get the plumbling sorted though so a week or so away from getting it fitted yet i would have thought.

just found out that one of my freezers has been left open slightly and therefore everything inside had defrosted. Not sure when it was left open but think i went in there yesterday for dinner. One of the drawers had not been shut. I do hate waste but not really sure what will be safe to eat

well we have had rather a large dinner made up from things that we hope will not make us ill from the defrosted freezer. On the plus side we now have one freezer empty which in turn makes room for the dishwasher - not that i like to waste the food - really was not much in the end. night everyone

Good news on getting the dishwasher !

It sounds like your all set for Christmas too. I must get organised , I don't feel like I am , although I probably am really. Just don't feel that way! Can't believe it's nearly Christmas , Where does the time go once you've had children!
