Looks like the same one: Posturetech spring system, 40mm of reflex foam, and only 20mm of memory foam.0 -
Tim, to put you on the spot and maybe to assist others, are there any types of mattress's to buy at under £150 (as the approx. price of the mis-price).
If not, what would you suggest as the lowest price members should be looking at to purchase a "decent" mattress??
Is it worth buying a "basic" mattress and investing in a topper, or even if someone already has a topper??
Taking a double as a guide.
Sorry to put you on the spot, obviously you don't need to name makes, just types.

Exactly my point!
Thousands of people buy Sealy products every year and are more than happy with them. They are a good quality brand and you can get as good prices on their products as much as the next manufacturer depending on where you shop.
You don't have to go to a small independent retailer or manufacturer to ensure value and/or quality.
Sealy are perfectly reputable. Just because you don't sell them yourself doesn't mean that they are not of good quality.
My parents have had their Sealy posturepedic mattress for a fair few years (i.e. over 7) now (as has my sister) and it is by far the best bed they've ever had (and with a family of six, we've had a few!)."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
Well said !!!
Iam really disappointed that a great grabbit has turned into something more like a .consumer review. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but for f**ks sake it is a mattress for £150 from a well known reputable manufacturer . People are ABLE to make their OWN decision on quality , value for money etc. . So for all the grumps out there ,,,find another forum .....or start one up called glee corner !!!0 -
quote ... 40mm of reflex foam, and only 20mm of memory foam......would that be a mans 40mm or a womans !!0

Most reviews are left within a couple of weeks after taking delivery. Most of the reviews did say the mattress was comfortable, but that isn't the main issue with this type of spring system. The main problem is long term reliability.
Many reviews are fake, and are posted by retailers or manufacturers. I admit that this is very unlikely in this case though.
When someone in the trade gives free advice with no gain to themselves, then it may be worth taking at least some notice. But that's completely up to you.
Similarly many retailers will sell you the item they make the best mark up on. Not suggesting you would, BTW. It does happen, I'm sure you will agree. 'Proper' users of the item generally have nothing to gain by posting a positive review. In fact, it's a facet of human nature that people are more mmotivated to complain than praise - certainly when doing something so time-consuming as a written review. Consequently the Revoo reviews are spectacularly good IMO.Call me Carmine....

It is a point though, sadly.
And we are fighting for a decent mattress for under £150.
