You forgot to add.....all in your (biased) opinion "One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
I got the letter too and was convinced it was going to be a "sorry but your order has been cancelled...etc" It's a promising sign and what Russell said sounds encouraging but I haven't taken it as a given that we will get them.0

I ordered too, looks like a great deal for the money. Sealy say their agent will deliver week beginning the 28th Sept 090

No, in my well informed professional opinion, as someone who does know about beds and mattresses, and hears from 1000's of people who have owned them.
Rather than slating me, why don't you start a thread asking the opinion of people who have owned them for one to two years? Or you could even do a search on MSE, as there are 100's of people who have commented on their low quality.
Look at it this way, if it's all you have ever bought, then you wouldn't know any better. It's only the power of advertising that makes them popular.0 -
It looks like there could be a chance that some people will receive them, but many won't. There is another forum where some people are saying that they are being given all sorts of excuses to cancel their orders.0

Had the letter as well today. Details all correct so just waiting for the phone call! Fingers crossed .0

Whoa - bit sensitive there - I'm not "slating" you
I just feel that you need to make it clear on any post you make on the subject that you have a vested interest in disparaging Sealy.
Unless of course you'd like to take it up with the board guides?
And then let people make their own decisons - which they are more than capable of doing!"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."

The board guides know exactly what I do, as many other people do also.
There are 1000's of bed companies out there. So me telling the truth about a product wouldn't send people flooding to me would it? I am on MSE to let people know the truth about the hype and gimmicks in the bed industry. I don't advertise, and I don't give my details out (even in PM's). So no I don't have a vested interest, but I do have an in depth knowledge that I spend a huge amount of my own very valuable time and effort to share with people.
So please stop trying to cause an argument.0 -
You work for a company who sell alternate products to Sealy. I'm not starting an argument.
I'm just saying that if you are going to make multiple posts throughout the boards on a popular website such as MSE along the lines of "small independent" manufacturers offer better value for money" etc etc.......then to retain any credibility that you may have, you should make it clear that that's where you make your money from.
Sealy have thousands upon thousands of very satisfied customers. Whilst they surely don't need your seal of approval, I'm sure they also wouldn't appreciate you making such sweeping statements on popular public forums such as MSE whilst working for a competitor."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0
