I've had my letter from Sealy too. I just hope that the measurements were wrong as 59cm is very high!

I too have a bad back and have needed a new mattress for a year now, so I am really looking forward to a good nights sleep.

Thanks to Tesco for honouring the price!!! Hope I dont have to delete this later!!!

I now need a bargain on singles for my girls!!
ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷
  • I actually placed an order through Tesco Direct, received a cnfirmation email, but the following day got told that it was cancelled. This order was cancelled by my card issuer (I know this as they called me to check that I still had my card and that it was me that tried to place an order)

Just thought that I would add that in, as there will be occasions where your order would be accepted by the retailer but cancelled later, usually if you havent used your card for a while or for a high value transaction, etc etc.

Anyway...I have a sealy matress that is 18 months old now, cant remember what I paid for it as I got a package deal, so some of the cost would have been the bedframe too, but it does me good. I dont have any back problems or that but have found it to be decent. Therefore I dont need a new mattress lol, but kinda wish that I did!!

Got my Sealy letter this morning.

They don't have far to deliver mine, as the factory is only about 10 miles away!

I think the 59cm is from another mistake on their site were they gave the details for the divan set rather than just the mattress.........I wouldn't push for the set though. That might be expecting too much.

The security checks at the time of ordering on line will usually kick back anything that doesn't match up. After the transaction there are more checks carried out which take into account buying patterns etc. This appears to be why they called you, but if they were happy that it was you making a one off expensive purchase, then they should have let the transaction go through, and not cancelled the order.

The blocks on the cards that were mentioned earlier should have been picked up at the actual time of purchasing, and not later on.

Exactly what I was about to write.

  • I should also add that the checks done later give a possible fraud score which takes loads of things into account. And from what people have said it looks like they may be taking any that don't have a very high score and rejecting them, when normally they would accept a lower score.

I called them up to change a couple of details on the delivery address.

The letter didn't contain any delivery dates, but apparently the mattress is going to the courier on 5 Oct and the courier are contracted to deliver it to me within another 7 days.
