I do think you have been, on the whole, needlessly negative in this thread so far, Tim Deegan, almost as if you would have preferred this to be a misprice Tesco decided not to honour. You started by suggesting Sealy was a rubbish make, then progressed to reporting that 'many' people have had the knockback from Tesco due to card decline when it's clear there haven't been 'many' at all, if this forum and HDUK is representative (and I'm sure they are). The reason for this attitude I really wouldn't care to speculate on, I suppose.
What I said was that although the mattress was ok for the miss price, it isn't worth the proper price. It has been done before by some companies that they will miss price a product to attract peoples attention, then sell it at the proper price saying it was an error. So I was trying to protect people from making that mistake and paying more than the mattress is worth if Tesco cancelled the orders at the miss price.
I said that some people were having orders cancelled. These reports were all coming in within a couple of days. So when you consider that most people who have ordered won't even go on forums, so we won't know about most that have been cancelled. It seemed a bit iffy that they were coming up with excuses to cancel the order.
So there is no need to be paranoid. As I said before, I hope all those who ordered at the miss price actually receive the mattress. But don't pay any more, otherwise it could actually work out to be an expensive mistake.0 -

You have failed to convince anyone that these orders were not going to be delivered.

It looks like there could be a chance that some people will receive them, but many won't. There is another forum where some people are saying that they are being given all sorts of excuses to cancel their orders.Call me Carmine....

Yes, and what's wrong with saying that, as some have been cancelled by Tescos? We have no way of knowing how many they have cancelled that we don't know about.0 -
I got a cancellation email from Tesco - no reason given! They've refunded the money to my card... plus the £5 delivery charge which I didn't pay! So I may not get a mattress, but I'm £5 up so can't complain!

I have of course replied to protest and asked them to fulfil my order... watch this space.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

            No, I didn't. I live in Northern Ireland though, that may be why they cancelled...Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Probably because on a lot of the items in Tesco Direct, including beds, in the bit where it gives delivery options it will say UK Mainland only if this is the case. Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama
