lol @ Tim - do you work for a smaller independent retailer yourself perchance?

But what Tim said was, "All I can say is stick with smaller independent manufacturers to get better quality for less money."
It's been stated many times before how much mark-up is on the likes of Silentnight etc. - the rrp's are a joke.

True, but the discount on these is so huge that the mark-up here must be minimal.

Are we talking about the "mis-price" or the new price??
The new price is what other high street merchants do, ie: "50% off etc".
The mis-price was a good price though.

  • I think at less than £150 this HAS to be seen as a billy bargain, personally. If it arrives, of course.....

My OH looked at this yesterday but changed her mind about ordering one in case she didn't like it etc.
Not sure if its the exact same one but she found this one here and it's only £239 with free del

So nearly £100 more expensive than this deal was then?!

Yes I agree but it's over £40 less than Tesco's asking for it now ;)
I wasn't saying it was a bad deal just pointing out it's avail elsewhere for less than Tesco's now
It's not just about the money
  • I was just ensuring people aren't being mis-led who maybe don't read the whole thread and think the current price is the bargain price (which it is not a bargain at now).

Thats why I posted it cheaper than the £281 it is when you click on it ;)

I always take more notice of actual user reviews rather than retailer opinions, personally. And this mattress has averaged 9.1/10 on Revoo.

I know exactly where you are coming from, but there are a couple of things to take into account:

Most reviews are left within a couple of weeks after taking delivery. Most of the reviews did say the mattress was comfortable, but that isn't the main issue with this type of spring system. The main problem is long term reliability.

Many reviews are fake, and are posted by retailers or manufacturers. I admit that this is very unlikely in this case though.

When someone in the trade gives free advice with no gain to themselves, then it may be worth taking at least some notice. But that's completely up to you.
