leftover beef ???

Having just eaten our sunday roast, we've got an amount of roast beef left over. I know this sound like a pretty stupid question (I should know
) but what can I do with the remaining beef? Neither OH or myself want it in sandwiches.
Past leftover meat has, (embarassed to say), been thrown in our little compost bin. I know, I know.
We don't have pets so I can't give it to them.
Any ideas?
Thanks, BirdyIt's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?0 -
Mince it up if you can and make a cottage pie with a chopped onion and some chopped carrots and gravy topped with creamy cheesy mashed potatos Yummy0

Slice it, put it into fridge and serve cold with chips or similar tomorrow0

I too mince mine, add cooked carrot and onion mix with the left over sunday gravy, then top with mash potatoes. Cottage pie yummy.
I had roast beef today and I always make sure there is some left over.
You could also make rissoles. Minced beef mixed with mashed potato, made into rissoles and fried in a little oil.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

Cottage pie--
Stick it in the blender with an onion and use it instead of mince. So start the same by gently frying before adding veg and stock. I do this with lamb and it tastes better than mince. (jane fearnly whittingstall "good granny cookbook" 's method)
Man versus food inspired --- stew it up in bisto gravy (other cheaper granules are available:D) and then pull it out and chuck in a bun. (If you wish to go extreme you may dip the completed bun in the gravy lol)0 -

I'd personally eat it cold with some mustard mash - but then we always get two meals out of a roast.Adventure before Dementia!0

Go the traditional route.
“Roast on Sunday,
Cold on Monday,
Chopped on Tuesday,
Pie (Shepherd’s) on Wednesday.”0
