    Part of the Furniture
    1. Help partner to pass his Life in the UK test, leading to ...
    2. Help partner get his IDL UK Visa (£820 :-().
    3. Help partner find a job.
    4. Stabilise my budget, with no saving left after the Visa application I wont have anything to dip into.
    5. Get snacking under control and lose 1 stone.
    6. Get fit again, running, cycling & rollerblading, and join a gym, if it is compatible with 4.
    7. Study for work related qualification - hopefully more money or a better job.
    8. Study Spanish.
    9. Meet new people.

Not a lot to ask is it?

Any tips on how to do it?

    Hi bloodofareptile

My diet bribe pot is for every day I stick to my diet and exercise plan properly I put £1 in a pot. Every 4 weeks I will treat myself to something with whatever is in there. I've been doing it for just 7 days and have stuck to it for 6 days so £6 in the pot so far. Saw this idea on the WeightWatchers website. There's nothing like a money bribe to keep me motivated!

That's fab - I'm going to have to borrow this idea!

I've been through the Life in the UK test and getting an ILR earlier this year. I might be able to help if you have any specific questions on those. :)

    3) Use my time more wisely... Not going too well but I have in this week sorted budgets, wrapped xmas gifts, sorted stuff for charity and applyed for a new job :D
    4) Pay off at least £300 from my debts... £304.92 I did it and still counting daily...
    5) Lose 2 stone (28 pounds) in weight... 11lbs down so far, next weigh in is Wednesday
    6) Stick to my eating plan 100%... 100% except three 'scheduled deviation's' :p

Sorry haven't updated this, been away with the fairies!

So I thought what might be a good idea to get us a bit motivated is if we can list all the things we have acheived in the last 6 weeks and then list the things you would like to achieve in the next 6 weeks. Almost like starting afresh for the next 6 weeks but being able to see how well we have all done so far!
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
    Finally Debt Free...

    Achieved so far:

    1.
    £271 paid off debt
    2.
£200 saved/ spent towards 'good stuff' - pressies, holidays etc - whilst still paying essentials and not starving myself!
    3. Tried out gym class but think it's a waste of time as I don't really enjoy it.
    4. Have run 8 times, longest so far 4.5 miles

    5. Done more constructive things - lots of gardening, knitting, cooking and tidying!

So a bit of revision means that these are my aims for the rest of the plan:

    1. Pay another £229 towards debt
    2. Another £300 save/ spend towards good stuff!
    3. Stick to new running plan, which means 20 runs in 5 weeks and longest run of 6 miles.
    4. Have all Christmas presents bought/ made by end of the 5 weeks.

Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012.

  • Hi Sally, good to see you back :kisses3:

So in the last 7 week I have ~
    * Paid £300 off my debts...
    * Lost 11lbs...
    * Stuck to my eating plan except for 3 'scheduled deviation's'...
    * Used my spare time a little better...
    * Now more conscious about my spending habits...

Much better than I thought although its now time for the last push :j

In the following and last 5 weeks of this challenge I will ~
    * Pay £100 off my debt
    * Continue to monitor my daily spends :silenced:
    * Lose 10lbs at least
    * Stick to my eating plan 100% and no deviations!
    * Excercise twice a week

Come on all, we can all do this :j
