Hi everyone - I've managed to get my debt with the Very Catalogue down to £795 although they have now increased the APR to 44.9% so this challenge has just got a whole lot more serious
I've advertised my wedding dress on pre loved and also have lots of stuff from the wedding to sell on ebay (all of which is new as i never got married in the end) so hopefully things will sell and I can say bye bye very!!! xxxx

Hi bloodofareptile
My diet bribe pot is for every day I stick to my diet and exercise plan properly I put £1 in a pot. Every 4 weeks I will treat myself to something with whatever is in there. I've been doing it for just 7 days and have stuck to it for 6 days so £6 in the pot so far. Saw this idea on the WeightWatchers website. There's nothing like a money bribe to keep me motivated!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Love the diet bribe pot idea!! Will be borrowing that
I've been concentrating on wedding stuff this week as the day is creeping ever closer, one of the too small dresses sold today and I've bought a (hopefully) final dress which with any luck I'll get to wear!!
I also have a skip on my drive, currently half full but I'm working on it. Also got bags and bags of baby clothes for car boot on Sunday and I've been listing on ebay like its going out of fashion!
I've been trying really hard to stick to Slimming World but have had the lurgy all weekend and have been craving protein (I guess that could pass as a red day lol) back to group on Weds and fingers crossed a couple of pounds have gone!
Still chickening out from Flylady though - does anyone do this everyday? Any tips?
Sending postive vibes to everyone :beer:Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -

hello all, i have been away for ages and dont have much time to read everyones but hope everyone is doing well!
i have no idea what week this is but im taking all my goals up to christmas anyway. So here are my goals....
1. lose weight (ideally 1 stone but will be gratefull for anything!) I am joining scottish slimmers - got a free joining token and 8 meets for £32 so i do save some money - i really dont want to spend another christmas feeling so awful about how i look.
2. Stop drinking until the festive season (except 26th sept - sis's 30th party) So far so good!
3. Eat better and excersise daily (10000 steps daily minimum) Im wearing my pedometer daily and doing yogalates at least twice a week plus stretches and arm excersises.
4. Get a Job (looking for 1st job in 5 years due to ill health) so far not much luck but may be looking up - may get either a 6 month placement at place i volunteer at or permanent job in another department - heres hoping!
5. Save more money in mini isa (currently £1150) - £1200 but im going to pay off my £100 overdraft!
6. read another 3 books am on my third which means 17 or 18 this year - i had aimed to read one per month but i had 2 weeks in bed with swine flu so that helped!
7. be more confident in myself and meet new people - so far have accepted 3 xmas night out invites!
8. get back to budget (recently buying myself too many 'treats'!) Erm.......most have been sale items........? ok must do better! Although did get a vango rain jacket good as new from my charity shop for £10 so it's a start!Cc debt; £4950 Tesco - £3.37 Boots - £3.94 £2 pot - £0.00 Sealed pot NO40 - £7.87 no spend days jan-3/31 £2 savers = £60 -
1. Pay £500 off debt - £271 (will pay off another £110 next payday so need to find/ pay off the other £129 from somewhere)
2. Save/spend £500 for holidays/ Christmas/ course I want to do etc - £200
3. Go to gym class every week - haha no I give up - don't think I like the gym!
4. Run at least 3 times a week, aim to get up to 10 miles for my weekly long run - new training plan so revised to 4 miles a week from next week, longest at the moment 4.5 miles, aiming for 6 by end of the plan.
5. Do something constructive (apart from work!) every day - not every day but more aware of using my time well
Have a good weekend all x
