The 12 week Debt-Life *Achieve something* Plan - WEEK 7

The diet has been terrible this weekend. Hubby was home briefly yesterday  he got home at 5pm yesterday and left again at 6am this morning. So last night I ate just about everything I shouldn't have done and washed it down with over 1/2 bottle of wine.
Today I will live on porridge and skimmed milk :rotfl:
Uni starts tomorrow. I need to think about how I will manage the diet while I'm there so I don't end up in the canteen eating chips.
Best tip is to bring your own lunch, plus some nice low-fat biscuits etc so you don't get tempted by the vending machines between lectures! Please call me 'Pickle'

11 Week Plan:
* Lose a stone
* Increase running distance until I can complete a 10 mile run.
* Sign up for a half marathon for next year
* Finish decorating my bedroom
* Pay off my credit card
* Sell shares, pay off credit card, put back savings used this year (which is...um...virtually all of themso I need to get a fairly good price for the shares!)
* Finish buying Xmas presents before Xmas eve for once.
Plan for this week:
* [STRIKE]Make a meal plan for the week[/STRIKE] Done - no take-aways except one that ex OH bought last night
* [STRIKE]Go running...doesn't matter how far, just get out and run, just for the fun of it, because I haven't been doing.[/STRIKE]Done - it was hard going but looking forward to running again on Wednesday
* Lose 2lbs Lets gloss over that one for now...
* [STRIKE]Finish painting 2 walls and half of ceiling by the end of the week (sounds easy but 3 coats are needed, and it's hard to fit in around the kids)[/STRIKE] Have painted 1.5 walls and all of the ceiling so I'm counting that as done!
* [STRIKE]Put away the enormous pile of laundry that currently lives in my bedroom (this is my first task, to be completed today with no excuses [/STRIKE]Done, although there is more to go away now.
Not too bad a week, but I really need to tackle the weight loss, so will be focussing on diet/exercise this coming week.
So....plan for this week:
Lose 3lbs - going to do CD as a friend has started today so should be achievable if I stick to it.
Paint 1.5 walls, which will leave 2 left to do next week.
Run twice, Wednesday and Friday - 5k each time even if I have to walk some of it.
Make Xmas present list

1) do exercise dvd 4 times a week
2) 4 alcohol free nights a week
3) 4 NSDs a week
4) pay off the egg card
1) did exercise DVD twice
2) only managed 2 alcohol free nights
3) 5 NSDs. Very pleased.
4) Highly unlikely due to circumstances beyond my control (namely a numpty OH)
Well done to everyone! Even if we don't make our targets, the fact that we're still going for them shows how good we are0 -
Tiny....good going...and Snags too.
Week 3 starts here and as Tiny says don't focus on what we haven't achieved, today is the day we review what we want to achieve and how we go about it.
My targets were to get to running 10 miles by the end of twelve weeks....well I started and feel much better, I am a bit behind but at least I have started and broke my duck as it were.
2nd target was to lose 12lbs in twelve weeks...started at 9.13 and this morning I was 9.11 so am getting there albeit slowly and given how much I have cut down too slowly but this 12 week thing is keeping me focused.
3rd target was to pass my exams in December which means studying....and this is the one that has been hardest to start. So this week I am going to focus on this.
My problem seem to be that I need 'everything' to be lined up before I start...ie house tidy, done my running, no work needing doing. I am having a hard time leaving other things to start this....need to work on this one I think?
Hope everyone else is suitably gee'ed up for this week...Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Happy Week 3 Everyone!
Update:- Stick to my budget and pay off £700/month on my debts - Still on track, thought I would be able to pay an extra £100 off this month but had a friend's 30th birthday this weekend so I think this will be more like £50.
- Do some sort of exercise everyday - Ankles and legs are feeling better now, going to start gently with yoga tonight and then try and go for 7 days this week.
- Cook as many meals as possible therefore reducing my grocery spends - Yep, managing this one fine. Made banana bread and cherry scones last night to use up ingredients that were about to go off.
- Go for a monthly horse riding lesson as a treat only if I save the money elsewhere to do it - did this on Friday, it was BRILLIANT!! Was going over jumps and everything when I have hardly ridden at all in the last 10 years. OH has said he'll pay for me to go this week again as a treat as well...yipee!! :j
- Try and find some voluntary work to get involved in my local area - Ahem, moving on.
- Spend less time on the internet and more time being productive
- Try and catch up with one friend a week - done, got together with some friends last week who have just got back from their honeymoon
- Get my flat bathroom sorted out ASAP and get the flat rented out - Have arranged for a joiner to come round tomorrow to fit the new living room door tomorrow and my dad is coming round on Friday to get started taking up the floorboards
- Spend more time with my grandma (she's 94 and housebound and could do with the company) - Not done much with this one, going to try and go round for lunch one day this week
- Try and get a head start on Christmas shopping - Erm, no.
- Start a DFW diary on here to keep myself on track - Not yet, no.
Good luck with your goals this week everyone xxLBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -

Everyone is doing really well - here's to another good week.
I need to find a way to fit another run per week in I think - I just don't know how. Maybe I should see if ex-SIL will watch Natasha for an hour every other week - or my friend who lives across the road.
Need to try and make sure I'm running at LEAST 15k per week now.
Have re-started CD...am 4 hours in :rotfl: and not hungry yet. Nasty mint choc shake for breakfast that I found in the car. Have a couple of soups and shakes that someone gave me (and someone else has promised to send me a few more too), but other than that, I pretty much only have porridge! Think I will soon be sick of that, so if I do well this week, I'm going to ring CDC and tell her I'm back on it, and get more stuff."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
