1. Lose 12 Lb - 1Lb per week is achivable. Not doing too well stayed the same this week
2. Pay £1500 off C/Card debt - was planning this but need to keep to it now.
3. write Chritmas card's by 15.11.09 ready to post 1.12.09
4. Have all christmas przzies brought and wrapped by 5th December.0 -
Time for a mid-week progress update and adding a couple of extra things I have thought of...
...Stick to my budget and pay off £700/month on my debts Doing well with this - think I will even be able to pay an extra £100 off this month :j
...Do some sort of exercise everyday Torn ankle ligaments are back and I've pulled a muscle in my calf this week, so not much exercise getting done. Am going to try a bit of swimming at the weekend though.
...Cook as many meals as possible therefore reducing my grocery spends This is going brilliantly! Me and OH have managed to spend about £110 on food this month - down from our normal £250!! Also, haven't had a takeaway for 3 weeks, and we normally have two a week, yippee!!
...Go for a monthly horse riding lesson as a treat only if I save the money elsewhere to do it got my first lesson (an assessment to see what standard I am at tomorrow afternoon, paying for it with the money I have saved on groceries
...Try and find some voluntary work to get involved in my local area nothing yet on this one, have had some good ideas though.
[EDIT]
...spend less time on the internet and more time being constructive hmm, not so much here. Had a good, busy couple of days at work earlier this week but things have quietened down a bit now.
So, other things I have thought of that I really need to get organised with as well:
...Try and catch up with one friend a week
...Get my flat bathroom sorted out ASAP and get the flat rented out
...Spend more time with my grandma (she's 94 and housebound and could do with the company)
...Try and get a head start on Christmas shopping
...Start a DFW diary on here to keep myself on track
...Sort out PPI reclaiming from Egg
I love this thread, I was thinking about it last night and I edited it because my original list wasn't as challenging as it should have been. There are some things I really want/need to do in the next [STRIKE]12[/STRIKE] 11 weeks, not just those that will come easily.
Hope everyone is doing well so far,
xxLBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -
Mid week update to 12 week challenges:
1. Pay £1200 off debt - have paid off £400 this month so a third of the way there!
2. Pay/save for March holiday and associated costs - paid for flight last month but have just paid for the accommodation too. Just got spending money and taxi fares to save now.
3. Lose 7lbs - ahem! Next!
4. Buy all Christmas presents - bought another stocking filler and now have £120 in the Christmas fund so just have to buy a few more things.
Inspired by someone else's £100 in a pot I have decided to try to save £100 in a pot of my own. If (big IF) I can complete all my challenges by the end of 12 weeks I can have this £100 to spend on myself. Hopefully this will motivate me even more.
Aren't we all doing well even if it's better in some departments than others! :TI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
