Managed to cook curry in slow cooker so that seems to be going well, and have booked day off work next week (unheard of, boss asked if I was unwell!) and partner and I are going to hit shops in the morning, do culture visit to castle in afternoon and have tea in a restaurant in eve (on a mse note, vouchers for shopping, free tickets to castle as part of work deal and money off discount for restaurant!)

I have been to the gym 3 times this week, have cut the food shop by £50.00 for the month...so far...do need bread and milk, but if it's down by even £30.00 it will be a great incentive to keep going.
All meals have been planned (some more loosely), everything is being used up, even tired bits of broccolli have a new life.
Paid all my 5ps and 1s and 2s into the bank, then put that amount in an ISA...hardly touched the sides, but thinking long term.
Ironing pile is smaller, and this weekend it is me and the girls and I plan to hire a RUG DOCTOR!!
Feel good, have a date tonight with OH before he heads off on a 10 business trip.0 -
1) Be more positive about myself/my life... Going well, not there 100% but its coming along
2) No spending unless its needed for my day to day living... A small amount of money has been spent today on clothes (needed because everything I have is too big and gone to the charity shop) and my 'mini goal' treat something I would never give up
3) Use my time more wisely... Ummm yesterday was a wasted day, so from today onwards I will be more productive :T
4) Pay off at least £300 from my debts... Small pot ready to be payed off, just waiting for one last cheque to clear
5) Lose 2 stone (28 pounds) in weight... 5lbs down so far, next weigh in on Wednesday :j
6) Stick to my eating plan 100%... 100% except one 'scheduled deviation' which was planned
7) Make at least 4 handmade gifts and sure I have all purchased gifts by the end of November... The handmade bits wont be started/completed till the last week of the challenge0 -
:T:T I am so pleased...everyone seems to be doing so well.....
I am not doing so well on any aspect so far this week, but I have been poorly..tomorrow is another day.:DQuality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Had my first day at college today
was soooooooooooo nervous! At 28 I'm the oldest in the class by about 10 years!! I have also discovered the problem with being a girl who wants to learn about computers. Its that girls don't want to learn about computers; geeks do!!! So I came home to OH (a self confessed geek - I mean seriously, he was more interested in installing Windows 7 than having a *cheeky* lie in with me ) and he reckons he can "geek me up"!!! Does that sound terrifying to anyone else or is it just me??

i half weighed myself today (i stood on the scales and just as it registered DD pushed me off and got on herself so it actually froze (it's digital) at her weight - she's 23months!) but before she pushed me off it stopped at a weight and it looks like i've lost 2lbs. if so then my chellenge now is to keep it off. will weigh myself again in the morning to double check (without DD)Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

Everyone's doing so well, I think I need to try a bit harder! I've made myself a little spreadsheet though so hopefully that'll help keep me on track as well. God I'm a geek.
I decided to start from monday so I'm only halfway through my 1st week but so far:
1. Learn to get up earlier so I can stop taking taxis to work - I haven't had any taxis this week (but I have been a bit late). That's good on a moneysaving front though! Going to continue working on it.
2. Make packed lunch at least 3 times a week - 1/3 so far
3. Pay back the money I owe (approx £250 to my bf, approx £90 to the househould account) - Waiting til payday at the end of the month cos although my bank balance looks quite good at the moment I'm sure I've forgotten something!
4. Finish decorating at least one room of the flat (I seem to have started every room but finished none of them) - Not yet
5. Sort out and give/throw away all the stuff I don't use from my kitchen - May do at weekend
6. Lose at least 1 stone or a dress size - Weighing in on sunday. I've started counting weightwatchers points again but I know I'll do badly thanks to my brother's chilli con carne!
7. Sort out xmas presents online in advance rather than rushing round the shops the weekend before xmas - I've made a list of who and how much and have started looking which is good for me!
8. Save something towards a holiday next year (would like to have £500 by xmas) - plans have changed now so won't need that much yet, aiming for £250 by xmas now. 0/250 so far
9. Put SOMETHING into my savings account for a house deposit. Saving has gone very badly these past few months - nothing yet. Hopefully on payday I can put at least £100 in the ISA.
couple of other things to add to my list for the rest of this week:-
10. Get bf to chase Intelligent Finance about transferring his ISA
11. Buy slow cooker (thanks to cheap deal mentioned in MSE email!) and cook cheaper/healthier meals.0 -
