Have tided the LR floor and got the hoover out. Then I ate the most enormous plate of pasta, sweetcorn and chicken! I'm not used to having such a large lunch. DH is out playing golf, so I thought I would eat the leftovers from last night's dinner.
Another HHC @ 1pm - join me if you can!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

:hello: Hi everyone. My DB and SIL left earlier to travel back to Aberdeen. Its been lovely having them here. When we went to Alnwick Gardens we had a tour around the Poison Garden. It was very interesting and I didnt realise how many things that grow in gardens etc can be really poisonous. When you go in they tell you not to touch or smell anything. Mum was a bit upset yesterday when they said their goodbyes. She wanted to come with us. She is still affected by what happened at her eye appointment and had to reassure her she was not going back there.
I love reading and always have at least a couple of books on the go. Light reading is thrillers and crime or metaphysics. I keep books about angels, alternative remedies and therapies, cooking etc. Anything I dont want to keep gets passed on or goes to the charity shop.
Both beds changed and in washer.
Bathroom and kitchen S&Sed.
Bedrooms dusted and tidied.
Living room vacumned
g&b How is the LO?
Quillion Sorry to hear you did not get the job. Im sure the right one will come along for you.
Toots Hope DB & SIL have brought you nice weather as they passed.
Mudbath Hugs for you, your Dad and DS.

Done some unpacking this morning and a washer load, made food, think I will go get some keys cut (so DPs Bro has a spare) then take the boys up the caravan si they can go swimming, might get lawn at front of old house done when we get back. Oh bother I need to empty my car first. Best dash. Hope you all have a nice day xOne day I might be more organised...........

Afternoon ladies. I haven't posted for a long long time, but have tried to check in now and then but am way behind on eveyone's news. My computer is a bit unreliable at the mo.

Boddy yes its sunny at times so I think they have done well with their task:D Hugs for Mum. thats very interesting about the Poisonous garden - I suppose we dont really think about how toxic some plants are.
I lurve reading too - my fav relaxation type would be crime/CSI type, Daphne Du Maurier, Mary Stewart and the Sharpe books- I also have angel books which i wont part with and loads of books on antiques and collectibles. I have very few cookery books and only basic gardening books although I do love gardening magazines. I have loads of lovely knitting, crocheting and beading books which although I havent managed to do much from give me loads of pleasure just browsing.
Through my love of all things antique i have some very old books about various places, a collection of poets, and other assorted things.
I like some self improvement stuff, green ideas, Kim and Aggie and the like - inother words I like just about everything!!!!
In my 'hugs in a package' were lovely books -Living on a £1 a day for a year, the Chic Murray Story, an Elvi Rhodes and tess Burrows Book 'Cry from the Highest Mountain' - (and a couple of others that I cant remember off hand as i havent read them yet) which are all books that I probably wouldnt have chosen but have really enjoyed:D
prettypennies nice to see you - (((hugs))) re the smear thing - I know its easy to say but try not to get to stressed (yet!) it may just be a bad sample.
toots xx
ETA hello Aunty I have just spotted your siggie:rotfl:Peace will be mine

In that HHC, I did some washing up (still need to S&S kitchen tho, will do some more washing up later too), and hung up some laundry, then I decided to quickly get another 1000 steps, so have done that. I'm doing a catch up day for my steps today as the last two days I've been quite low on steps and need to get my average up for the week. Got to get at least 5000 steps today - have got 3000 already so it should be achievable.
Will do one more HHC @ 1:55 and then am going to have a nap as I'm flagging quite a bit now"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Doing well with the bedroom but I know it's going to take a supreme effort to stick to the plot!
Had lunch, DS3 decluttered to Mum's for the night, DS2 gone to bed not feeling well, DH decluttered to the garden to install the new butts.
Wonder when the DoDo will return. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
