    morning all

i have the flat to myself today, DH at work already. I decided to take soappie's advice and oven pride my oven. it's not horrendously dirty but I just can't be bothered to scrub! The shelves are in the bag in the bath and I've tested a corner of the oven itself with the stuff.

My sinuses seem to be clearing, though I can still smell and taste the horrible smell. I'm hoping it is my sinuses draining and not the place that has opened up just behind us manufacturing chinese dumplings!! DH says he can't smell it so we'll see. I'll be onto environmental health otherwise!

Do plan to get through my list today. The electrician should be coming at some point and hopefully the handyman will pull the washer out for me so i can try and fix it. I'll be up for some HHCs later

    HHC 10-10.30am anyone?

Morning everyone. Still feeling pretty proud of myself for doing all 5 days on the right day this week! No plans this weekend (hubby is working in the studio) so I think I will create myself a little list of bits to do on here, might give me the motivation not to sit on the computer the whole time!

Just had an invite (this morning!) for my local uni alumni society, they are having a lunchtime party for freshers today at 12! I didn't expect that when I emailed the lady yesterday!!! That's too soon for me though, no time to prepare myself for meeting a load of new people, so I'm wimping out for today and will wait for their next events to kick in I think. Would feel a bit stupid being new at a thing for freshers - I matriculated in 2001! Darn not being good with new people!

Try on my wedding outfit and make matching fascinator

Will add more when I think of them, I'm sure there's more needs doing than that, but I think I should relax on the old weekend too!!

    Morning all,

Have you missed me? ;) Have had another manic week at work in my new teaching job - can't believe I've done 2 weeks already - in some ways it's gone really quickly, but in body, I feel totally exhausted due to the amount of things we've had to do and learn in the last couple of weeks. Next week will be a shorter week in a way, as all of the NQTs (3 of us) have got to go to Worthing for the day to an induction course, so will be out of class all of Friday. I will also have my PPA time on Wednesday morning as usual, but won't get my NQT time for the next 2 weeks to make up for the day out. I've got 3 meetings after school on Monday, I expect we'll start looking at our Spring planning on Tuesday after school (it has to be in by November), staff meeting on Wednesday, and I expect Thursday will be a mad panic making sure that the people who are covering us the next day have everything they need to teach the lessons. Have had lots of problems getting stuff done at school as there is only one working printer at the moment for teaching staff (2 classes in every year from reception to year 6), and the internet hasn't been working either, so having to do a lot at home.

Flying-wise, I'm keeping my classroom tidy at school, will try to get some washing done today and change the sheets and do the food shop and some batch cooking. This will also mean that I clean the kitchen too as the surfaces etc will all need a good clean before I cook (and after too I suspect). I'm determined to get as much done today of both home work and school work, so that I can enjoy having tomorrow off when OH is at home.

Hope everyone is well - sorry I haven't been able to catch up with the thread throughout the week. Hugs to all who need them, belated happy birthdays/anniversaries, good luck, congratulations and commiserations where appropriate.

I miss you all, and hope that once I've got the school stuff under control that I'll be able to pop on more often.

    Take care everyone,

    sexymouse xx

  • Morning lovelies!!

bit of a dull day for me today! OH at work all day and night, housework is pretty much done!!

Just finishing As*a order and then need to clear away breakfast bits. All thats left then is some ironing, although Im actually looking forward to it today, as I convinced OH to buy my a new iron!!:j My old one was a cheap little thing that didnt steam!!! Im hoping it will be a quicker job with my new one!!!

Other than that, not much else to do. Im gonna have a quick wander around the house and make sure everything is ship-shape (did someone say it's talk like a pirate day??)

    And then....:confused::confused: I dunno!
:rotfl:If you have made someone laugh today... check your skirt isn't tucked into your knickers!!!:rotfl:
    Mrs B you're a legend.
