Just wanted to say that I am back, but barely flying, just doing my dailies and keeping the washing going
In my defence the last three weeks have been hectic, as I have had a big influx of house guests ( sadly one of my oldest ds's friends died, she was only nineteen, and I've had her ex-boyfriend staying, and lots of young people in and out of the house)....but now school has started, and Hamish and I are getting used to the new routine of busing him in to high school in town, and I would like to re-claim my house!

staggers in...
*hic*
*burp*;);););)
how OLD am I?
the bar was VERY noisy so we asked them to turn it down. In our defence there were no other customers. Probably couldn't stand the racket. As I said to the bouncer. WELL WE COULD STAY HERE AND BUY WINE AND YELL AT EACH OTHER OR WE COULD GO ELSEWHERE WHERE WE CAN HEAR EACH OTHER SPEAK AND BUY WINE THERE
they turned it down:rolleyes: - ooh more customers appeared:rolleyes: I have been on facebook to see who has been wishing my mate happy birthday and sending her kisses. I have a name but I am no wiser :rotfl:but I have poked one of her friends who's a former colleague actually...
on a flying note I HAVE put some washing in...and I have pulled my lashes off and my left eye hurts now. Still they'll do another day...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Rach - I love Jill Mansell too for some indulgent reading and have made a few friends addicted too. She makes me laugh.
I also still love Stephen King (a hangover from Uni days I think). Otherwise I love gardening books, recipe books, biographys, alternative therapy interests and Agatha Christie. I also love the classics and anything to do with the Tudor era. I better stop listing 'cos I just realised I pretty much read anything that I can get my hand on except Mills and Boon and similar!
My house is full of books and I cannot get rid of any and love to collect more, so any that Mrs B doesn't want you can all throw my way!!Ok, my list for today is as follows -
Feed the cat at least twice
Brush the cat
Sort and delete 10 emails
reply to emails
Clean bathroom sink
Spray bleach on the bottoms of the shower curtains
organise OH to water the entire garden
Extras
Research carpet cleaning firms for quotes
Darn the ripped sheet - still not done
Edge the muslin cloths - ditto
Make a Get Well Soon card - sooo not inspired
Make a new baby card - ditto
Post on gardening Forum
post nephews birthday card
Do three surveys
I know my lists are nothing compared to everything you all do, so thank you for letting me be part of the thread anyway. It does really help focus my mind. I hope you all have a successful day flying.to all who need them.

Car tax done online (I feel guilty about the post office, but simply don't have the time to go today!)
And pesky starlings are trying to get back into the roof  I can hear them on the gutters/fascias, so I'll have to go and have a look at what they're up to.0 -

Morning everyone, just a quick pop in before I finish the final bit of packing then have a cuppa. Got to have a shower afterwards, then we are off to sunny Devon.
The boys have had their daily walk and are sitting all prim and proper on their dog beds. Bear isn't too happy though as he has had to keep his collar on and he normally has it taken off after his walk..
The house is looking all nice and sparkling, and I am really enjoying ticking everything off the list. DH is keeping suspiciously quiet, I think he is frightened I am going to pack him..lol He has escaped upstairs to do his packing..
I won't get on again probably, so I shall bid you all goodbye until a weeks time, and sending lots and lots of hugs to everyone. Everyone be good, those that need to rest make sure you do rest up.. And everyone else, have a great week
