Mudbath - well done! I thought of you yesterday when sorting out under the bed, the story of you finding a door still makes me grin

    .

I'd forgotton about that! I have to say DH is so much better now but only because he knows if he leaves anything lying around I THROW it in his study!:rotfl:

Make sure your son knows to check the water at the campsite. When we were staying at a site in July we saw some lads arrive that were doing their Duke of Edinburgh Award....they preceeded to use the waste water hosepipe (that people swill out the toilet cassettes!) to get water. Everyone was watching and no one said anything. Queue me running down the campsite in odd shoes shouting 'stop, stop, stop'. I think the lads wanted to do a runner when they saw the mad woman! They were grateful when I told them though (it was peeing down so we also offered to boil them a kettle when the leaders left but they refused - good lads!!) xx

Surely if you undo the tape you put on it the other day it will :p

(Hope you defrost soon... I had hot chicken stock with noodles & spinach for supper, and put a fleece on and I feel MUCH warmer... off to run a bath now!)

Thanks Greenbee. The school have never done DofE before and it seems a rather steep learning curve. We have only had 1 week notice of the expedition (he has completed the other 3 parts already). Fortunately this is only the trial go so lots of lessons can be learnt! He doesn't drink hot drinks (well the occassional hot chocolate so maybe I'll get him a sacket of that). They take a packed lunch for the second day so I can get that organised quite easily.

WM finished so I'm going to put that on the maiden next.

I HAVE FINISHED MY BIG ASSIGNMENT THAT HAS BEEN HANGING OVER ME FOR MONTHS!!!!!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Sorry to shout but I'm very happy!

Going to start the next one tomorrow whilst i'm on a roll!
Shout away mudders - it's a wonderful feeling of relief isn't it.
greenbee - I get tired just reading how much you are managing to pack into a day.

I think the flying might have to go on the back burner again. Too many people talking about decorating so I went investigating today and I can afford to replace my bedroom carpet, but that means I will have to get the decorating finished first.
  • another flying visit from me

mudders well done on finishing your assignment. Go you.

Toots hope you are ok today chick. Don't think i have seen you post?

We had a PJ day here today as DS1 was so tired and lethargic today after 2 days of me trying to wear him out. By the time we all woke up a bit we decided to not bother with clothes.

I've managed today to do a washload which means i am pretty much on top of the dark washing. That is hanging on the airer, so i have a load of clothes i folded that need to go in the kids wardrobes tomorrow morning before DH goes to work hopefully.

I got the kids to help me pick up all of the toys before bed in a fashion, enough for me to be able to run a hoover around downstairs tomorrow anyway. ;) I still need to bin some when they aren't looking. DH emptied the hoover for me, so it should pick up better tomorrow.

Bathroom wise, i collected the rubbish and binned it all. Stinky nappies - gross. I empty it mostly every day anyway but there were a few bits of cotton wool from the kids, and i decluttered the remnants of some bath pearls by having a nice soak with a book. I then scrubbed the tub before getting dressed into fresh PJs so it is part done. I'll stick some bleach down the loo before bed.

Tomorrow is going to be a long one. DH has a work meeting near london, so a couple of hour drivc for him each way. I am going to get some mince out now before bed so i can make chilli or spag bog or something in the SC tomorrow as he will be back late.

    Tomorrow jobs:
    • ring or visit library - find out about timing/costs for group on Friday, return my books if we visit
    • food shop - need fruit and veg, packed lunch stuff and bread and milk
    • run hoover round first thing before toys are got back out.
    • wash - load of my light clothes after stain soaking where DS2 smeared beans and chocolate etc on my T shirts, load of bibs and flannels, bathroom towels
    • sister visiting - take kids park?
    • remember to feed cats twice
    • scrub dining room table and chairs where DS2 smeared parsley sauce on it today.
    And probably lots more fire-fighting.

    Night all,
    Michelle x

On a flying note i have done nothing.

But spent the the afternoon stripping and managed to do 3 big walls. Will carry on again tomorrow. My mum has been great even though she says i am a control freak. I thought it made good sense to start in the living room and work my way round doing one wall at a time then moving the furniture back again, tidying up as you go along. Took her an hour but she soon got round to my way of thinking.
Got under the stairs and then all up the stairs and round the landing to do so
after i have my pampering pedicure i will again be mainly stripping wall paper.

Hope all are well. Hugs to all xx
