I like a sparkle of flyladies

This morning OH and I went to visit the Rcspa rehoming centre, the kitten were soooooooooooooooooo cute, then we went to look at motorbikes!! He has now gone out on his bike for a bike round.

I have been in the garden and started to cut stuff back ready for the winter, raked over the ground and generally tidied up, found one of my ex pond frogs in the undergrowth, it looked ok and hopped off!!

Slow cooker is on with stew in it. Might make a crumble in a bit...

  • Thank you to everyone for their kind words, thoughts, wishes and advice. How kind everyone is, it is a touch overwhelming when I think about it.

My dog is amusing himself outside while the kitchen floor dried chasing birds, cats and barking!

Not much else going on, rang OH a couple of hours ago and phone switched off which is unheard of. Left msg, no reply, never mind, move on, keep busy.

Just going to take the dog for a walk in the park and then attempt a corned beef hash for tea and leftovers
in terms of collective nouns, what about a sparkle of flyladies?

    Very good name!

My list of leftovers and next week's extras!
Larder cupboard to clean and wipe
    Make soup
    Tidy the garden
Have a look at craft supplies
    Return to sender post
    Tackle the ironing
    Christmas cake list

Cleaned out the fridge and replaced all the cupboard bit and bobs and chucked some bits out. Kitchen nearly sorted cleaning wise just the larder cupboard to do next week.

Will leave everything else until the week or next weekend on this list - see how I feel

Well since my last post, I've been on a roll - OH has come home and I asked him to make me cheese on toast for lunch (at 3.30pm), so I've eaten, and it's got the creative juices flowing. I've edited this week's literacy plans and have written next week's ones too. Next week is the end of the unit, and I've practically written the whole things, so it wasn't too hard to work out the next steps. Just waiting for the approval of my colleagues now to find out if I can email them into work or not.

Have told OH what else needs to be done around the house, but not sure if he's done any of it yet - haven't left the computer for a bit. I feel really hyper at the moment - not quite sure why? Must be the new cheese, or maybe it's the fact that we're actually a week ahead on our literacy planning now and won't need to do it in our PPA time on Wednesday, so can just concentrate on maths.:T

Well I'm going to have a little break and see what OH is up to, as he'll be back out again in an hour or so. Then I'm going to put some more washing away so that I can put some stuff in the TD. Only 1 load left to do now.:j

My new updated list (have put the ones I've done at the top now):
    • [STRIKE]Find maths vocab for a display[/STRIKE] Just need to edit the colours and save it to my memory stick now
    • [STRIKE]Find key figures to research in literacy[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Find directions for course at SAPC Worthing[/STRIKE] Got the road and postcode so will use my satnav
    • [STRIKE]Clean bathroom and wash remaining towels[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Freeze remaining lasagne in portions[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Work out literacy mixed ability groups[/STRIKE]
    • Catch up on the washing and put dry stuff away
    • Create timestables cards for my maths set's homework
    • Find dictionary activities for literacy for tomorrow
    • Complete weekly timetables for as far as possible
    • Assessment predictions tables for December, April & July
    • Write down 3 action plan points for NQT meeting
    • Change sheets, dust and hoover bedroom
    • Clean kitchen worktops and floor
    • Hoover and dust living room & dining room
    • Make Veggie Sausage pie for tonight's dinner
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Afternoon ladies.

Hi, fed up. I noticed you are a fellow Yorkie. Glad to see you are feeling a bit more upbeat today.

Re: Lefthandedness - I am a leftie too. I tried to force one of the twins to follow suit but to no avail :D so am the only one in my household.

I can't use leftie scissors cos I'm so used to right ones. Left handed potato peelers are a must though (traumatic flashback to brownie retreat and battle with a maris piper).

Biggest problem at school was elbow banging and fountain pens. The trend for whiteboards and pens is a bit of a pain for us lefties too.
The other thing I remember is the shout of 'left-hander' every time it was my turn to bat!

It comes in handy having one leftie in the house when there is stuff to screw in. Left hands can get into corners right hands can't and vice versa.

Done !!!!!! all flying so far today. Had to drop OH off at golf this morning as his van's engine has gone kaput. Then I went for a two hour ramble over Ilkley Moor with my sis and the kids.

Made beef stew and dumps for lunch and roasted root veg. I am going to tidy the veg patch a bit well the sunn is still shining, jump in the shower and tackle mt ironmore.
Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j

Just been trying to work out which of the freecycle groups I belong to are still freecycle and or have moved to freegle, because where I live I am on the boarder of 4 groups! think I have just about sorted it and managed to log in to them all......

Sun has just come out again the kids from next door are riding their bikes around pretenting to be hamburger delivery people, the 5 year has just sent his back as it didn't have ketchup on it!! much to his sister annoyance as she was the delivery person. :rotfl::rotfl:

As this is my last week before going back to work, I think I need to get into a morning/evening routine. I have to drop my car off at 8am tomorrow anyway, and I'm in London again (learning how to make model handbags out of icing...!), so it'll be a good start to the week.
Greenbee - sorry to be nosy, but I'm getting a bit confused (what do you mean 'only a bit')
Is this you starting the new job in a week? Are you moving house as well - seemed to notice plans for moving stuff?

Better re-make bed before bed-time. I got myself some new sheets (TKMaxx) After years of polycotton I got pure cotton - not sure why - think someone on here was raving about how much nicer they were.

Hope by then this headache has gone. No idea what caused it - I very seldom get one.
Oh, just remembered I still have washing out!
