Afternoon everyone. Got the dailies done this morning and washed a load of towels. Have been into Newcastle to watch the Great North Run. I have never been to see it before just watched it on tv. The Red Arrows did a fly past which was brilliant. Did a little bit of shopping while there. Now off to put another load of washing in and then have something to eat.

    Triker Hugs.
    Fedupandskint Hugs.
Soappie Hope you are ok. Was thinking of you when I saw the Red Arrows.
greenbee I like the look of that book you mentioned.
Toots and Lady L Big hugs.

I'm going to stay on four stars again this week, as the kids have not really done much in their rooms...

Busy weekend, after a busy week, and next week even more hectic. Not much chance of five stars then either!

OH's birthday today, and we haven't done anything very special - although we're out for a meal this evening. We're going away for a mini break next Friday though. All very hush-hush - but we're having a lovely time winding him up with comments about checking the holiday insurance to make sure we're covered, saying how much he enjoyed that recent programme on base jumping, and he doesn't mind heights, does he??(yes, he does!). Fingers crossed that the weather is nice!

sexymouse, froddington and soappie - if I remember correctly, we'll be coming right by you! We'll all wave!:hello:

hex - Love the sound of that crocus.A friend has thymes, lemon balm and oreganoes (all self sow) round the edge of her drive. Her son said he always knew from the smell when he'd not parked very well!! I have some very pretty centaureas (bella and simplicicaulis) in my very hot front garden, which don't in the slightest mind being baked - grey green lobed foliage and pink flowers in June/July.I want your tulips too!!

fedup - up to you, but I'd get out there again. My brother has just married (for the first time) at 44, my new SIL is about your age, and they plan to have a family as soon as they can. I married at 31, and had my children at 33, 35 and 37. Grab your life and live it!!

I've just finished all my planning for next week - although I'm not at all sure what is happening with my timetable from Tuesday. I'll plan next week's on Thursday, as we're away - really looking forward to it.

Love and hugs to Toots and Lady-Liberty.

pleased with my efforts! It's had a deeper clean this week too so should be easier for next couple of weeks. Missing the bedroom star as bed will have to wait til Friday when DH is going to his parents to cut the grass for them so can wash it in their washer, unless ours is fixed first. I've deleted the spare room list as it's not going to get done! A quick tidy will suffice i think. 3 stars is not bad though!

FiL has appt with the consultant tomorrow so should find out when his op will be. I bet it will be when we're on hols.

Have to go out in about 15mins to pick up wet laundry from friends. Doc Martin is back on tonight, love it - partly cos he shares many characteristics with my DH and partly cos we spent our honeymoon in Port Isaac where it is filmed!

MRS B - Have missed u sooo much,

ahhhhh so sweet thank you xx
glad to see the flylady bar is still in action:beer:

its a tough job but someone has to do it!!!:rotfl:

DS1 (9yrs) has just been giving me more mouth... all i did was asked him to pick up a bag for me so I could get through the doorway, as i was carrying DS3. Got a face full of " OMG Mum Im sick of doing everything in this house.... etc etc"
I swear he is trying my patience to its limits. Told him since he didnt want to help me, then perhaps i wouldnt bother cooking his tea tonight.. to which he replied " Im not hungry anyway"!!!!!!!!:mad:

He's a lovely lad when he is in the right mood but all this mouth is gonna end up with me "doing something I'll regret" as my mother used to say:rotfl:

have enjoyed a relaxing bath, whites are in TD just need to iron them, potter round the kitchen and Im done for the night...

    Mrs B xx
:rotfl:If you have made someone laugh today... check your skirt isn't tucked into your knickers!!!:rotfl:

    omg...

I prepped a veggie chilli then thrust my hand into the water and slashed my finger on my very very sharp knife. Squeezed it until it stopped bleeding then reached up to get a plaster for it - stretching over the iron which I had put there to cool prior to putting it away and I have burned my tummy...I have a vertical blister now even though I held a chilled can of pop against it to cool.

DD as you may recall, has gone to Meadowhall on the train. I got a text about 15 minutes ago telling me they have missed the train and asking what to do !!!!!! a text...fortunately I did hear it come in so I phoned.

Now they went to M/hall from Chesterfield on a train to Leeds.
so they thought they would catch the Leeds train back!
so it's a good job they missed it. Told her to look for timetables and find a train for Derby or Nottingham calling at Chesterfield.

ETA I found a train leaving at 17.35 but they decided to hang around and catch the 17.56:confused: I so don't want to have to go and get them...hardly independant if you have to rely on parents...and I bet I'm the only one who knows what's happening!

ETA I like a sparkle of Flyladies - let's keep it optimistic! And well done Sexymouse...

valli - ouch ouch ouch. DH is always telling me off for putting sharp knives in the washing up bowl with everything else.

Hope DD finds her way - it's a good learning experience and it's light for hours yet.
