I keep falling asleep :o so I think I might have to go for a walk (I've got a couple of things to stick in the postbox, and need to get some yogurt before tomorrow morning.

Freezer inventory done. Outside freezer contains:

    7 packs sausages
    1 pack belly pork
4 bread rolls (frozen in pairs)
    1 loaf wholemeal
1 loaf spinach & tomato bread
9" square vanilla cake (layered & crumb coated)
9" square choc cake (layered & crumb coated)
    9" square choc cake
    2 victoria sponge layers (untrimmed)
    9" round layer vanilla sponge
14" round layer vanilla sponge (in quarters)
Lots of offcuts of sponge for making trifle...

    Inside freezer contains:

    1 portion goose casserole
    2 x goats cheese
4 goose breasts - use to make casserole
    1pk basil tofu
    2 pk red tofu
    2 pk smoked tofu
3 bags frozen cranberries - could be juiced with apples?
    half bag ground coffee
Tomatoes (last year's!) - cook with these
    Peas
    2 fishcakes
    Sundried tomato foccaccia
    Tub ricotta
    2 small pots soured cream
    Fish pie (4-6 servings)
    3 pots veg stew
    2 pots chicken stock
Chicken olives stuffed with couscous (serves 2)
    Salmon en croute (serves 2)
    2 packs sausages
    Pot stewed rhubarb
8 pigeon breasts - make into casserole
    2 tubs cream cheese
    Pack puff pastry
    Pack shortcrust pastry
    Pack smoked mackeral
    Lamb steaks (3)
    Pot ratatouille
    2 packs plain tofu
    Large pot stewed plums
    Small box blackberries
    Frozen coriander
    Frozen garlic

I'm going to need to do a whole lot of cooking on Thursday (this is the next day that the farm shop is open, and I need aubergines, courgettes, peppers, squash, mushrooms, leeks & celery), so that I can make up more veggie stews and turn the meat into casseroles, all frozen in single portions. I'm also hoping to get some seconds tomatoes to turn into soup, and I will also try to get round to buying a chicken and making another batch or two of stock (I'll have to make something out of the chicken too!).

I need to pick some more blackberries so that I can make myself blackberry and apple to go in the freezer for porridge/breakfasts.

I also need to make up another batch of muesli.

I'll use one of the frozen cakes to make my dad's birthday cake at the end of next week (not sure how I'm going to decorate it, but hopefully I'll come up with something soon).

Today started off very productively, but seems to be grinding to a halt!
  • My list of leftovers!
    Mop kitchen floor again
    Make soup
    Make corned beef hash
Tidy the garden you lazy moo and get off the lappy!
Have a look at craft supplies
    Return to sender post
    Tackle the ironing

Felt a bit wobbly a dinner time and went mad cleaning the paintwork upstairs, door frames and so on. The finished wiping out all the kitchen cupboards, leaving just the pantry cupboard for next week.

Made brownies, roasted beetroot, made ketchup (went wrong so can't bottle it up!)

Will declutter the odds and sods cupboard when it dries and then see what else I fancy doing this afternoon. Look for a soup recipe I think and clear out the salad tray AGAIN in the fridge

Wobbily moment passed by keeping busy - here I go again putting everything back in it's place all neat!

    Afternoon all

Not much going on here today, we've taken the dog out for a potter. DD1 came and collected the sink so she can make a sink garden (I emptied it out ready the other day).

Yesterday we got some black paint and DH painted the edge of the porch, the electric meter box and the old oil meter box. Looks much better. The gas box could do with painting too but given how often the cats sit on it I don't think there is any hope of it drying without footprints, so we've just washed it down again.

I also got some compost and repotted some plants (moved them up a size) and gave some others some new soil on the top. Now the sink has gone we've finished sweeping up and moved the pots into place. Looks tidy out there for the winter now. When the herbaceous plants have gone to sleep I want to get another back of bark to go over the long border.

Got dinner cooking now. We missed lunchtime taking the dog out so I thought I might just as well put the dinner on when we got back. Smells nice. We were late going out because DH had to take DD2 to the bus station to get her bus for Gatwick at noon. She's off to Morocco for a week.
  • ooooooooooooooooh Aunty sorry for asking!!! when is it - dont worry about it you will pass ok!
