Been to the farmers market. Not much there... apparently the mid-month one is always quiet. The apple juice I wanted wasn't there, but I've got some different stuff to keep me going, plus a couple of delicious pork pies, a plum doughnut, a maple & pecan doughnut, purple sprouting broccoli, spring onions and potatoes.

Suppose I should get myself back outside... there's another load of washing to put on!

On that note you may be curious to know that before they filmed it the tv company rang the council waste section to ask if there was any furniture at the tip they could borrow:eek:- so now I wonder just how much of it is a con...
Would that not be for the bit they do now with the public? Like how much muck gets into a mattress - would make more sense to get one from the tip rather than bring with them.

He has left a massive big hole in my life as being a libra I became attached to the other part of my scales and thought I had found my sole mate.
I'm a Libra too - and apparently unusual in being single...but I have concluded no relationshipm is better than a bad one...

Thanks and don't think it is secifically(sp?) a leftie thing but her room is..... BAD!!!!!
Thanks for the advice, I think I tend to over - analize some things xx

She looks cack-handed when she tries to write with her right hand.....my mother used to take the pencil out of her left and as a toddler and put it in her right hand and she didn't know what to do!!!!!!.....Thanks xx
My daughter's a leftie too and her room is tidy. When she was a tot and we suspected she was a leftie we would put pencils in her right hand but she wwouls swap them over to her left. Both my kids eat left handed though, as does my youngest sister. But they hols their cutlery properly and not like shovels IYSWIM

Way back in the day when i turned 17 i had my licence from my Nan and Grandad, 3 driving lessons from my mum and dad and 3 from my bf. I had 17 lessons then my test and passed first time.

I bought my own car and got my own insurance so i could build up no claims. No-one ever given me a car / and i would not expect them too. Kids today !! they need to learn the values. I dread it when mine gets to the demand stage lol

My fav saying is 'i want don't get' !!

I would go with the driving lessons too...

Missed you last night because DS had The Damned United and we watched strictly and Tom was on and I thought of you esp Pen...
The Damned United was filmed in Chesterfield - The Baseball Ground scenes are there - and they DID NOT have to trash it to get it looking so shabby - it looks like that. DS was gutted becaause he's a Derby County supporter and he NEVER KNEW they had once been top flight. (I did actually tell him but he doesn't listen to me :rotfl:)

Cue Valli yelling - ooh that's on Cross Street (there's free 2 hour parking there if you want to go into town;)); telling DD she had scrambled all over the stand - and got filthy when we watched Derby v Chesterfield there. Don't know where they got the chimneys from though :rotfl:
Chesterfield are having a new stadium built...

DD has gone to Meadowhall, with friends, on the train (I am NOT worrying at all:o for the very first time; she is buying my birthday present there:D)
DS is carwashing. They now have two buckets and they have bought their own carwashing liquid - on offer at Focus.

Remember last year when I posted I got a STANDBY SAVER?
There's a coupon in the Sunday Express to send for one free if you are over 70 or on benefits inc WFTC

    Hi everyone

I have been AWOL for what seems like days, Miss A went to her first water polo session on Friday night and had great time. From there we all went to a leaving party for a girl who is going to Oz for a year to do some missionary work. Saturday was swimming lessons, this morning Sunday school and phone call with a friend, we had a good moan as you do and felt loads better as a result! :rotfl: Just had lunch and caught up on here ready to do some bits to keep all the dots joined up :D

Hugs all round esp to fedup (great advice given) triker, LL and Toots

I am a leftie :D the best things for me are left handed scissors, left handed veg peeler (only got one of these a couple of yrs ago) everything else I either learnt to do the 'wrong' way or else I don't do :p eg knitting no can do
Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang :D
  • Hiya everyone
Just caught up on the thread, big hugs for Fedup and Triker, there was some good advice (and some byooootiful shoes) on the thread last night.

How about a fuss of flyladies? Or a clutter?

Grrrr I'm annoyed with my uni. It's registration week next week and I have to sign up for some classes. Have I had an email or anything telling me when I need to be where? Noooo of course not. And I need to go home next weekend to help dad with the goats because he's not well, but can't say which day I'll be home until I know what I'm doing through the week.

    My list for today
Clean windows (I will eventually get this done)
    Scrub the grill pan
Declutter some shoes I don't wear
Read some of Bergkristall or Aquis Submersus
    Make banoffee cake
    Find nearest blood donation place
Check bank account for loan payment
Price train tickets vs coach tickets to go home next weekend
    Ring Granny
    And probably lots more

Have a lovely Sunday afternoon everyone
