Morning and Happy Sunday to you all

Soappie hugs sweetie, don't apologise, I was just concerned

Triker glad you found my get up a go for a few hours - hope you've sent it packing

Lefties - my younger two are, great for sport, scissors were an issue but they can now both use left and right handed ones. In school they are always put to the the left of a rightie. Read somewhere that the number of scans you have is more likely to make them lefties (I did have more scans with these two than the first but not a huge number)

Need to get DS1's feet patched up for reffing and then a quick clean of the bathroom before I go into the shower.

Thanks for all the help re lefties xx
Went to SW on Thu. and DD took her nintendo, when we got back, we realised that she had left it there. Popped to the club on Fri and it wasn't there......huge panic at the thought of replacing it and all the games......had an email from the SW leader this morning and she has it....huge relief!!!

Got up this morning, washed and dressed ready for church and DD has gone back to bed!!!! Coughing and a sore neck, will keep an eye on her....don't need her to be ill when we go away.....Quick cuppa now and will try and complete the lists xx

Thought I would pop on quickly to say hi while I check my emails.

We varnished all the window surrounds yesterday so we can put the curtains up now. It took far longer than we thought but at least it is done.

Need to buy some new curtains for the bedroom today, off to do that this afternoon.

Off to put the washing out and spray weedkiller on 2 bits of the garden, then I should really have control over it.

    Uniform Washer
    Hello all,

I hope everyone is well, Im so sorry i havent been keeping up with the thread. Ive been trying to get my life back into some sort of routine. AND, I think I might just be getting there!! :j

Hugs to everyone who wants and needs, especially Toots and LL xxx

Im not making excuses but obviously you all know that Im back working full time, which is great. Little one has gone into the Juniors now (year 3) and has suddenly started getting a massive amount of homework (compared to what he was used to) and we have a dog....as if i didnt have enough to do already

Im coming home from work at 6, trying to do the tea, some of his homework, dishes, washing and dailies like lunchboxes etc too - as well as walking the dog......so needless to say its taken a bit of getting used to, but i think we are there!!

Ive managed to clean the house this week too, which is good.....it looks good even though I havent actually managed lots of things off the list. And I found time to even do some ironing!!!!!!! :rotfl:

My car and garden are both badly neglected though, so I am going to try and do both of those today, as well as my room which hasnt been touched yet, and start next week NOT playing catch up!

I also want to get back to meal planning and generally just get better organised!! :rotfl:

So, Ive put a wash on, and once thats finished I will get my bedding in!! I will come back with an update later in the day :D

Flyladies.....need help...any ideas what to give a 17 year old for her birthday?????

It's my daughter and I am completely flummoxed, she has a netbook, mobile and enough clothes and make-up to last forever.

Her birthday is thursday and I have not bought her anything yet.

I agree with the others, lessons might be a good idea if you can find a way to do this without her expecting the whole lot and car etc!

Or a pamper voucher, or haircut???

    xxxx

    morning all

I'm just getting sorted to head off to church (my friend has just become the minister at a church 3 miles away so i'm going there in the hope that i'll find a home there). I've sorted some washing to take to in laws at lunchtime and also emptied the washer through the filter again as it was smelly! I've also emptied the dyson and put the bins out. Will update my list later.

Better go and brush my hair and teeth or i'll miss the bus!

Had a quick catch up, big hugs to you fedup, I think getting to this stage is a positive thing though as through getting your home sorted etc you are obviously getting a clearer idea what you want/don't want from life.

It is hard being single and childless when all your friends are busy doing 'family' type things, so you may find that its easier to see them during the week for a trip to the cinema or a coffee/drink after work. And they'll probably expect you to go to them (why its supposed to be easier for single people to travel, when they don't have anyone to share the driving with etc, I have no idea!), but you have to make the effort and it will be worth it! Use the weekends to do things with single friends, or to go off and do stuff on your own where you might meet new people (walking holidays, volunteering at the dog rescue place, courses etc) if all your friends are busy. If there's no one around, make yourself go to a museum/art gallery/concert etc, so you're not just stuck at home with the TV and wine...

It's sad but true that the busier you are, the more interesting you are and the more people will want to spend time with you!

Thinking of which, if anyone wants to go to exhibitions in London and can't find anyone to go with, I'm always up for it! It makes me feel interesting & cultured :p And I have a friends ticket for the Royal Academy so can take one person in free ;)

doesn't magically get better when you are with someone either, my social life now is a quarter of what it was when i was single! And even being a childless married couple, people with kids expect me/us to travel too! greenbee you know I'm always up for a day/eve in London. Don't get me wrong, I'm not unhappy being married but it's not all rosy!! xx

Sack him off.. if he doesn't want to be with you then he doesn't love you enough, if he did he would want to be with you every second.

You have so much to offer and he is just taking advantage of your love for him. You cannot wait around on him becoming an adult so grab that horny bull and start living your life for you!!

well said! You deserve better, fedup

    pigpen -
I don't think you need referees for CRBs anymore - that part of the form doesn't need to be filled in these days.

    moam - hugs to you.

soappie - you know where I am if you need a chat/rant etc. result with the bike!!

julie - was just thinking i'd not seen you this weekend!

If you didn't need it wouldn't be on the new forms i would have thought.. I'll put it on anyway.. it is only a name and address so no hardship really..

It is if you have over 10 scans though... that is a fair few in the 8 months you know you are pregnant so very few have quite that many.. I had 14 with DD3 and she isn't a lefty.. I had 6 with DS2 and he is and 2 with DS3 and he is.. I reckon it is more like it is a genetic mutation with mine.. esp as noone else in my family is a lefty.. oddly these 2 were both 2 months prem.. the others were only 5-6 weeks early.
