Indeed, I agree.
However, the W350i does have problems with the flap, I believe, and it may be that mobiles.co.uk opened the boxes to inspect the phone. Or, it may be that the card is a dealer addition from the standard that has been forgotten to be included.
The important thing is that TERVOR knows he should have got the card/stick and gets it.0 -

No the phone comes with the memory card wherever you get it from heres the sony spec

Opened box would suggest its a return and someones nicked the card.
If Trevor has not ordered a "Clearance phone" It needs to go back as the history is now suspect etc.
Cue music :rotfl:It's not just about the money0 -
No its NOT a Clearance Phone.
Drum Roll ...................
Awaiting Reply from Rep.I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -

Looks like a return, then. But as I said to you earlier, when customers "don't like" their phones ( as distinct from them being broken) and return them then the mobile companies are looking at losing the sale at full price.0 -
I am happy with the phone - just want the card.I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0

Plenty on ebay - I might have me old 512 somewhere :-)
512mb cheap as chips (although chips are expensive these days hmmm)
Arent you concerned that the phone might be a clearance phone?0 -
And here I present to you the precise reason why we continue to get sh*te customer service from large companies. Because they can get away with it. Case in question; TREVORCOLMAN.
He knows they have a dreadful history for customer services, he knows they have an argumentative rep who doesn't really fix much, he knows they have a rather interesting policy on chequeback, he has seen all the threads on this board, and been quite actively involved in them. So, what does he do to show his total disgust and dissatisfaction toward the company?
He purchases one of their products.0 -
Maybe so but in which case it should have at least been checked for contents etc and resealed or boxed to add to the clearance stock.Looks like a return, then. But as I said to you earlier, when customers "don't like" their phones ( as distinct from them being broken) and return them then the mobile companies are looking at losing the sale at full price.
I would have thought the best bet with the returns from the WWW would be to sell them through the retail shops so they can be opened and shown at point of sale etc
The term "clearance" implies the units are being sold to clear shelves for new stock rather like M&S operate clearance outlets in shopping villages etc etc
If you buy a clearance item from somewhere like that you don't expect it to be second hand or repaired, you just expect it to be last seasons range or maybe a line that wasn't shifting etc
People returning stock has always been the nature of the game whether its like the old days of catalogues sales like Littlewoods or with advent of the sales over the internet. The companies have to make the best of it but as a customer we should not have to accept someones cast offs as new stockIt's not just about the money0 -
The problem is Trevor supposing someones swapped the battery or tinkered with the phone and it shows up at a later date with water damage etc ???????TREVORCOLMAN wrote: »I am happy with the phone - just want the card. It's not just about the money0 -

Not so. Trevor's original post readTREVORCOLMAN wrote: »I have seen a phone which I believe my other half would like for Christmas.
Shall I be a ginuea pig and place an order then post here results of how it goes?
This followed a number of threads on mobiles.co.uk's perceived bad service. Trevor decided to do a consumer test and post the results, already being a contributor on some of the other threads, not usually on mobiles.co.uk's side. In fact, much of his original comments on this proposal were removed from the forum, against his wishes.
So, in that light, he should be applauded for his actions which have already given readers information on what has gone right and wrong from square one.
So, consider the situation in that light and you might care to think again, Proc0
