I have been OS for many years (used to be into self sufficiency back in the 70s /80s, still cook from scratch, grow veg and keep poultry) so already have most of the things mentioned (mostly quite old now, like me:)
BUT I have recently bought microfibre cloths, which are great, and ordered a food dehydrator yesterday. I didn't know you could get them, and have spend large chunks of the summer drying tomatoes, herbs etc in the oven!0 -
I am another who has always lived OS, mainly because at my age we were brought up that way as there wasn't another way. I therefore already had quite a collection of cooking stuff.
I have brought my small slow cooker out of the back of the cupboard and bought it a big brother as a result of this board.
I have occasionally baked my own bread before, but have decided to try and make all of it, which necessitated the purchase of a Kenwood Major on eBay, and a couple of huge loaf tins. Unfortunately the oven promptly gave up the ghost  so we had to fork out mega £££s for a new one, but that is not the fault of the board.0 -
