ITC Legal Services - Avoid Them

Part of the fee's were over £4000 for estate agent which i thought was expensive the property sold for £187000 but i couldnt be bothered to argue in the end just wanted it over and done with. they grind you down in the end.:(
Most estate agents will charge about 1.5% if they work as a single agent and around 2% if multiple agents are instructed, so realistically you should expect to be charged about £2800 - £3000 for the sale. Adding ITC's "Fixed Fee" of 1.25%, which is around £2400 (based on the property value, but a little more if there were any liquid assets as well). Adding VAT to these figures comes to about £6400. So it does seem that ITC have once again added nearly 40% to your costs as disbursements!!
Now for some more advice (sorry):
Please don't let them get to you at this stage...they must not be allowed to simply rip you off. Someone had to work bloody hard for what they left you - and they indeed left it to you, not for ITC's dirty, greedy CEO Martin Trees and his bunch of thieves.
Write down everything you are (and were) not happy with, put a cost or value on each thing (such as the fact that ITC delaying your case meant you paid 2.5% more VAT), then once you have a figure in mind add a lump to that too (just like they did). Then make sure Trees responds point by point and ask him to give you a financial reimbursement. Whatever he offers, even if it's higher than your figure, demand more.
I so hope you get what you want. [TEXT DELETED BY ABUSE TEAM]Note to Self: When posting, remember to keep within "forum rules" to avoid upsetting other "interested parties"0 -

Who in the company accepts this disgusting performance going on and how do any of the staff live with themselves if they have the knowledge of what is really going on? Your insight would be invaluable to all the public that read this forum. I hope you enlighten us even more.
I visulise Martin Trees and his merry men sat around a table smirking and rubbing thier hands when they look over the figures of the money they are handling from those poor unknowing clients who are at home distressed and emotionally paralized from grief.
[TEXT DELETED BY ABUSE TEAM]. The drive from the senior managers is to handle ex amount of tasks per day, with no thought for the customer. It is the worst place I have ever worked and it was very difficult dealing with such a senstive subject matter with the awful processes they have in place in a mickey mouse set up. MT talks to the talk but VERY rarely walks the walk.0 -

Great suggestion! And dont forgot those things that you cant put a price on like the stress of the whole matter0 -

No, no, no, no, do not let it go. Please take a breather and remember, that money should be in your pocket not theirs, and as Portlandboy said, think of the loved one who worked damned hard for that money and wanted YOU to benefit, not [TEXT DELETED BY ABUSE TEAM]. I, like you, wanted to just write it all off by the end, but when I thought about how my sweet dear mum would of felt if she knew her hard earned money ( and I know what tedious horrible jobs my mum did to earn a crust) was ending up in strangers pockets and not her kid's she would of be so upset.
I am fighting so no other mums, dads, brother, sisters, granny, grandpa's, uncles, wives, hubbies, partners etc etc money goes where it should and not into the bank accounts of faceless, shameful practicing business men.
Hang on in there and please make a stand against how you have been treated.0 -
